Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding Operations Engineer Jobs at Schneider Electric Jobs
Align your credentials to specialty occupation standards
H-1B eligibility for Operations Engineer roles requires a degree in a specific field like industrial, mechanical, or electrical engineering. Gather transcripts and credential evaluations before applying so you can confirm your degree maps clearly to the role's technical requirements.
Target Schneider Electric's manufacturing site postings
Operations Engineer roles at Schneider Electric are often tied to specific plant locations rather than corporate offices. Filtering by facility-based postings surfaces positions where hands-on process improvement and production system experience are weighted heavily in hiring decisions.
Highlight experience with industrial automation and SCADA systems
Schneider Electric's manufacturing operations run on EcoStruxure and related automation platforms. Demonstrating direct experience with SCADA, PLC programming, or energy management systems positions you as immediately productive and strengthens the specialty occupation case for your visa petition.
Confirm the role's LCA wage tier before accepting an offer
Before your employer files the Labor Condition Application with DOL, verify the prevailing wage level assigned to your job description. Operations Engineer roles at large manufacturers like Schneider Electric can span wage levels, and the level on your LCA directly affects your petition.
Use Migrate Mate to find active Operations Engineer openings
Schneider Electric posts roles across multiple locations and business units, making it easy to miss relevant openings. Use Migrate Mate to filter verified sponsorship-eligible Operations Engineer positions at Schneider Electric and track which sites are actively hiring.
Plan your petition timeline around Schneider Electric's project cycles
H-1B cap-subject petitions must be filed for an October 1 start date. If Schneider Electric's offer comes mid-year, confirm whether you're cap-exempt or cap-subject and map your 60-day grace period or OPT expiration against that October start date to avoid a status gap.

Find Operations Engineer at Schneider Electric JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Schneider Electric sponsor H-1B visas for Operations Engineers?
Yes, Schneider Electric sponsors H-1B visas for Operations Engineers. The company has a consistent pattern of filing H-1B petitions for engineering roles across its manufacturing and energy management divisions. Operations Engineer positions typically qualify as specialty occupations under USCIS criteria, given the requirement for a bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant engineering discipline.
Which visa types does Schneider Electric commonly use for Operations Engineer roles?
Schneider Electric sponsors H-1B visas for most Operations Engineer hires requiring employer-led work authorization. Australian citizens may be eligible for the E-3 visa, which follows a similar employer-sponsored process but bypasses the H-1B lottery. For candidates pursuing permanent residence, Schneider Electric has also supported EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card sponsorship for engineering functions, typically after an employee has been in role for some time.
What qualifications does Schneider Electric expect for Operations Engineer positions?
Schneider Electric's Operations Engineer roles generally require a bachelor's degree in industrial, mechanical, electrical, or systems engineering. Hands-on experience with manufacturing processes, continuous improvement methodologies like Lean or Six Sigma, and familiarity with industrial automation platforms are commonly expected. Roles at plant locations may also require experience with energy management systems, safety compliance, and production KPI reporting.
How do I apply for Operations Engineer jobs at Schneider Electric?
You can search and apply for Operations Engineer positions directly through Schneider Electric's careers portal, filtering by location and function. If you need visa sponsorship, browsing through Migrate Mate lets you identify active Operations Engineer openings at Schneider Electric that are verified for sponsorship eligibility, saving time that would otherwise go to manually screening job descriptions for sponsorship language.
How do I plan my timeline if Schneider Electric offers me an Operations Engineer role?
If you're cap-subject for H-1B, your start date must align with the October 1 fiscal year. Schneider Electric would need to file your petition during the April registration window, so an offer in late summer may mean waiting until the following cycle. If you're on OPT or a grace period, confirm your authorization end date against that timeline and ask your HR contact whether premium processing is available to confirm receipt faster through USCIS.
