Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding Software Engineer Jobs at Schneider Electric Jobs
Align your experience with industrial software domains
Schneider Electric prioritizes engineers with exposure to SCADA systems, IoT platforms, or industrial control software. Framing your background around energy management or smart manufacturing infrastructure makes your profile more relevant than a generalist software resume.
Target roles in their EcoStruxure and digital energy divisions
Schneider's software hiring clusters heavily around EcoStruxure, their connected architecture platform. Applying to roles explicitly tied to that product line signals domain fit and puts you in front of teams with active, recurring sponsorship needs.
Prepare your credentials for specialty occupation documentation
H-1B approval for Software Engineer roles depends on USCIS accepting the position as a specialty occupation. Have your degree transcripts, any course equivalency evaluations, and a clear description of your technical duties ready before your employer files the I-129.
Browse open Software Engineer roles on Migrate Mate
Schneider Electric lists Software Engineer positions across multiple locations and product lines. Use Migrate Mate to filter specifically for roles where the company has a verified sponsorship track record, so you're applying where the process is already established.
Ask your recruiter about PERM timing during offer negotiations
If you're targeting a Green Card through EB-2 or EB-3, the PERM labor certification process with DOL typically takes 12 to 18 months before an I-140 can be filed. Clarifying when Schneider initiates that process matters more than most candidates realize at the offer stage.

Find Software Engineer at Schneider Electric JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Schneider Electric sponsor H-1B visas for Software Engineers?
Yes, Schneider Electric sponsors H-1B visas for Software Engineer roles. The company participates in the annual H-1B lottery, which opens in March for an October 1 start date. Because selection is not guaranteed, candidates already in the U.S. on a valid status such as OPT or a prior H-1B are in a stronger position during the offer and onboarding process.
How do I apply for Software Engineer jobs at Schneider Electric?
Applications go through Schneider Electric's careers portal, where roles are listed by business unit and location. Tailoring your resume to highlight industrial software experience, particularly around platforms like EcoStruxure, IoT, or energy automation, will strengthen your application. Migrate Mate also surfaces Schneider Electric Software Engineer openings filtered by sponsorship track record, which helps you identify active roles more efficiently.
Which visa types does Schneider Electric commonly use for Software Engineers?
Schneider Electric sponsors H-1B visas for the broadest pool of international Software Engineers. Australian citizens can pursue the E-3 visa, which avoids the lottery entirely and allows two-year renewable status. For candidates pursuing permanent residence, Schneider also sponsors EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card pathways, which require a PERM labor certification filed with the DOL before an immigrant petition can be submitted.
What qualifications does Schneider Electric expect from Software Engineer candidates seeking sponsorship?
A bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, electrical engineering, or a closely related field is the standard baseline. For H-1B purposes, USCIS requires the role to qualify as a specialty occupation, so your degree field needs to directly relate to the job duties. Experience with embedded systems, cloud-connected industrial platforms, or enterprise energy software gives you an edge beyond the academic requirement.
How do I understand the visa filing timeline after receiving a Software Engineer offer from Schneider Electric?
Timeline depends heavily on the visa type. For H-1B, your employer must submit a registration in March, and work cannot begin until October 1 at the earliest. For E-3 applicants, consular processing in Australia typically takes two to four weeks once the Labor Condition Application is certified by DOL. For Green Card sponsorship through PERM, expect the overall process to span multiple years depending on your country of birth and the applicable priority date.
