Align your credentials with specialty occupation standards
Sika's Customer Service roles in chemicals and materials often require technical fluency in product applications, not just communication skills. Frame your degree and experience around chemistry, engineering, or materials science to strengthen an H-1B specialty occupation argument.
Target Sika's construction and industrial segments first
Sika organizes customer-facing teams around product segments like roofing, concrete, and sealing. Applying to roles tied to a specific segment where your background is relevant makes your candidacy easier for a hiring manager to champion through sponsorship approval internally.
Clarify sponsorship scope before accepting an offer
Sika supports several visa pathways for Customer Service hires. Before signing, confirm in writing which visa type they'll file, whether they'll cover premium processing, and what happens if an H-1B lottery registration is unsuccessful so you can plan your timeline accordingly.
Use OPT strategically to prove value before the H-1B window
If you're on F-1 OPT, starting at Sika before April gives you time to demonstrate performance before your employer files your H-1B registration. USCIS opens the registration window in March, so timing your start date matters for cap-subject petitions.
Search for open Customer Service roles using Migrate Mate
Migrate Mate filters jobs by visa sponsorship type, so you can find Sika's Customer Service openings that are actively open to H-1B, TN, or OPT candidates without manually screening through postings that don't address sponsorship at all.
Prepare for DOL prevailing wage requirements in your region
For H-1B and PERM-based Green Card pathways, Sika must pay the DOL-determined prevailing wage for your Customer Service role in the specific metro area. Research the applicable wage level for your target location so compensation discussions align with what DOL requires.

Find Customer Service at Sika JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Sika sponsor H-1B visas for Customer Service roles?
Yes, Sika sponsors H-1B visas for Customer Service positions. Because H-1B requires the role to qualify as a specialty occupation, your application is stronger when the position has a clear technical component tied to Sika's chemicals and materials product lines. Roles requiring applied knowledge in construction chemistry, coatings, or industrial adhesives are better positioned for H-1B approval than purely administrative customer support functions.
How do I apply for Customer Service jobs at Sika?
Apply directly through Sika's careers portal, and tailor your application to the specific product segment the role supports, such as concrete systems, roofing, or sealing and bonding. Highlighting technical product knowledge alongside customer-facing experience improves your chances. You can also browse Sika's open Customer Service positions filtered by visa sponsorship type on Migrate Mate to identify roles that explicitly support international candidates.
Which visa types does Sika commonly sponsor for Customer Service positions?
Sika sponsors H-1B visas as the primary work authorization pathway for Customer Service hires and also supports F-1 OPT and CPT for students already in the U.S. For Canadian and Mexican nationals, TN status is another route. Longer-term, Sika has filed EB-2 and EB-3 immigrant petitions for Customer Service employees pursuing permanent residence through the PERM labor certification process.
What qualifications does Sika expect for Customer Service roles?
Sika's Customer Service positions in the chemicals and materials sector generally expect a background in a technical or business-related field, along with experience supporting industrial, construction, or manufacturing clients. Familiarity with product applications, order management systems, and the ability to troubleshoot technical queries from contractors or distributors is valued. A bachelor's degree strengthens your profile, particularly if you're pursuing H-1B sponsorship.
How long does the visa sponsorship process take for a Sika Customer Service hire?
The timeline depends on the visa type. H-1B sponsorship involves an April lottery registration, with employment starting October 1 if selected, so the end-to-end process can span six months or more from offer to start date. OPT and TN transitions move faster, often within weeks. PERM-based Green Card sponsorship through EB-2 or EB-3 typically takes one to two years from filing, depending on your country of birth and DOL processing times.
