Tailor your credentials to specialty chemical manufacturing
Sika's Manufacturing roles typically require applied knowledge in construction chemicals, adhesives, or sealants. Framing your degree and experience around materials science, chemical process engineering, or polymer production strengthens your specialty occupation case for H-1B sponsorship.
Target roles that align with your OPT timeline
F-1 OPT and CPT are both supported, so if your authorization window is short, prioritize production or process engineer postings where hiring moves faster than senior technical roles. Starting before OPT expires gives your employer time to file an H-1B cap petition.
Search Sika Manufacturing openings on Migrate Mate
Migrate Mate filters specifically for visa-sponsoring employers in chemicals and materials manufacturing, so you can browse Sika's open roles without sifting through postings that don't support international candidates.
Ask about LCA filing timelines before accepting offers
Sika must file a certified Labor Condition Application with the DOL before submitting your H-1B petition. Confirm the employer's internal HR timeline so LCA certification is complete before USCIS's cap filing window opens in March.
Clarify whether your role qualifies as a TN occupation
Canadian and Mexican nationals in chemical engineering or scientific roles may qualify for TN status, which has no lottery and can be arranged faster than H-1B. Verify with Sika's HR that the specific Manufacturing job title maps to an eligible TN category.
Position PERM sponsorship as a long-term conversation
Sika sponsors EB-2 and EB-3 Green Cards, but PERM labor certification requires DOL recruitment steps that take time to initiate. Raising permanent residency early in negotiations signals you're planning a long-term stay, which matters to manufacturers investing in technical training.

Find Manufacturing at Sika JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Sika sponsor H-1B visas for Manufacturing roles?
Yes, Sika sponsors H-1B visas for Manufacturing positions. Roles in process engineering, production management, and quality assurance in the chemicals and materials space have supported specialty occupation petitions. Your degree field needs to align directly with the role, and Sika must file a certified Labor Condition Application with the DOL before USCIS can receive the petition.
Which visa types does Sika commonly use for Manufacturing positions?
Sika supports H-1B, TN, F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, and EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card sponsorship for Manufacturing roles. OPT and CPT are common entry points for recent graduates in engineering or materials science. TN is available to Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying technical roles. H-1B and PERM-based Green Cards are the standard longer-term pathways.
What qualifications does Sika expect for Manufacturing roles?
Sika typically looks for candidates with a bachelor's degree or higher in chemical engineering, materials science, mechanical engineering, or a related field. Hands-on experience with production processes, quality systems, or specialty chemical applications strengthens your candidacy. For H-1B sponsorship, your degree must correspond directly to the job's technical requirements, not just general engineering.
How do I apply for Manufacturing jobs at Sika?
You can find Sika's open Manufacturing roles on Migrate Mate, which filters specifically for positions where visa sponsorship is available. Once you identify a role, apply through Sika's careers portal and note your visa status clearly in your application. Following up with the recruiter after applying to confirm sponsorship availability is practical, since not every individual posting will list it explicitly.
How do I plan my timeline for H-1B sponsorship at a company like Sika?
The H-1B cap registration window opens in March each year, with an October 1 start date if selected. If you're on OPT, your employer needs enough lead time to file the Labor Condition Application with DOL and prepare the USCIS petition before that window. Starting the conversation with Sika's HR team by December or January gives the process enough runway, especially if cap-gap protection will be needed to bridge your OPT expiration.
