Align your background with Smartsheet's operations stack
Smartsheet's Operations roles typically require familiarity with SaaS business processes, data workflows, and tools like Salesforce or Workday. Tailor your resume to surface specific systems experience rather than generic process improvement language.
Target roles flagged as open to sponsorship
Not every Operations opening at Smartsheet leads to a visa filing. Filter for roles where sponsorship is explicitly confirmed before investing time in the application. Migrate Mate lets you browse Smartsheet's current Operations openings filtered by visa type.
Request your LCA before your start date
For H-1B transfers or new filings, your employer must certify a Labor Condition Application with the DOL before USCIS can process the petition. Confirm Smartsheet's recruiting team has initiated this step once you receive your offer.
Prepare credential documentation before final interviews
Operations roles at Smartsheet often require degree verification and prior employment records to support a specialty occupation determination. Have transcripts, degree equivalency evaluations, and employment letters ready before the offer stage to avoid delays.
Understand how TN status applies to your role
Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying Operations functions may be eligible for TN status under USMCA. Confirm with Smartsheet's immigration team that the specific job title maps to an approved TN occupational category before assuming eligibility.
