Frame Your SaaS Sales Experience Precisely
Smartsheet evaluates Enterprise Sales candidates on demonstrated ability to close complex, multi-stakeholder SaaS deals. Before applying, document specific examples of enterprise pipeline ownership, quota attainment, and platform-led expansion motions that align with work management software sales.
Confirm the Role's Specialty Occupation Standing
H-1B eligibility requires the role to qualify as a specialty occupation. For Enterprise Sales Executives, a degree in business, computer science, or a related field strengthens the petition. Review USCIS specialty occupation criteria before your offer stage to avoid surprises.
Target Smartsheet's Named Account or Territory Openings
Smartsheet posts Enterprise Sales roles tied to specific verticals and named account books. Roles with defined territory complexity and technical sales cycles are more likely to carry sponsorship budget, so filter your search to those postings rather than mid-market or commercial roles.
Clarify Sponsorship Scope During the Offer Conversation
Before signing, ask Smartsheet's recruiting team whether their sponsorship covers only initial H-1B filing or also includes Green Card sponsorship through PERM. Knowing the full scope upfront prevents costly assumptions about long-term status support.
Use Migrate Mate to Find Open Roles Efficiently
Sponsorship-eligible Enterprise Sales Executive openings at Smartsheet can be filtered quickly on Migrate Mate, which surfaces roles by visa type so you spend less time on positions that won't support your status and more time on those that will.
Align Your Start Date to H-1B Cap Timelines
If you need a new H-1B, USCIS cap registrations open in March for an October 1 start. Build this into your offer negotiation with Smartsheet so your expected start date is realistic and avoids a gap in work authorization.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Smartsheet sponsor H-1B visas for Enterprise Sales Executives?
Yes, Smartsheet sponsors H-1B visas for Enterprise Sales Executive roles. The company has a consistent track record of supporting sponsorship across its sales organization. Your role will need to meet USCIS specialty occupation requirements, which for this function typically means a bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field such as business, technology, or a related discipline.
Which visa types does Smartsheet commonly support for Enterprise Sales Executive roles?
Smartsheet supports H-1B sponsorship as the primary work visa for Enterprise Sales Executives. The company also works with F-1 OPT holders, TN visa candidates from Canada and Mexico who qualify under USMCA professional categories, and EB-2 or EB-3 Green Card sponsorship for employees on longer-term immigration pathways. Availability can vary by role and team, so confirming scope during the offer stage is the right move.
How do I apply for Enterprise Sales Executive jobs at Smartsheet?
You can browse current Enterprise Sales Executive openings at Smartsheet on Migrate Mate, which filters roles by visa sponsorship type so you can confirm eligibility before applying. When you apply directly, tailor your resume to reflect enterprise SaaS sales experience, multi-stakeholder deal management, and any industry verticals Smartsheet targets. Indicating your visa status early in the process helps recruiters route your application correctly.
What qualifications does Smartsheet expect for Enterprise Sales Executive candidates needing sponsorship?
Smartsheet looks for candidates with proven experience closing enterprise-level SaaS deals, managing complex sales cycles, and working with procurement and executive stakeholders. A bachelor's degree in business, technology, or a related field strengthens both your candidacy and the H-1B specialty occupation petition. Experience with work management, project management, or collaboration software platforms is a meaningful differentiator for this specific role.
How do I plan my timeline if I need Smartsheet to file an H-1B for me?
If you require a new cap-subject H-1B, USCIS registration opens each March for a lottery that determines eligibility for an October 1 start date. Build that window into your offer negotiation. If you're transferring an existing H-1B, Smartsheet can file a petition that lets you start sooner under portability rules, without waiting for the next cap cycle.
