Align your credentials to specialty occupation standards
Chef Concierge roles at Sodexo often blend hospitality management with food service oversight. Document your degree field and job duties carefully so they map to a specific specialty occupation, not a generalist role, which strengthens any sponsorship case.
Target Sodexo's contract-based site locations
Sodexo operates through client contracts in healthcare, corporate dining, and education sectors. Chef Concierge openings tied to long-term contracts tend to support visa filings more reliably than short-cycle accounts, so filter by facility type when searching open positions.
Research which visa categories fit your situation
Sodexo sponsors across several nonimmigrant categories including H-2B, TN, and J-1, not just H-1B. If you're a Canadian or Mexican national or currently on OPT or CPT, one of these pathways may be a faster route to an offer than waiting on an H-1B lottery cycle.
Use Migrate Mate to surface active Chef Concierge openings
Sodexo posts Chef Concierge roles across hundreds of locations, and availability shifts constantly. Use Migrate Mate to filter open positions by visa sponsorship eligibility so you're only applying where your immigration status is workable from the start.
Confirm LCA filing scope before accepting an offer
Once you have an offer, ask HR which DOL Labor Condition Application wage level they intend to file at for your specific site. Sodexo operates in markets with very different prevailing wages, and your LCA wage level directly affects your H-1B petition's credibility with USCIS.

Does Sodexo sponsor H-1B visas for Chef Concierges?
Sodexo does sponsor H-1B visas, but Chef Concierge roles need to qualify as specialty occupations under USCIS standards, meaning the position must normally require a bachelor's degree or equivalent in a specific field. Sodexo's food service and hospitality management roles can meet this threshold, but the outcome depends on how the specific job duties and degree requirements are documented in the petition.
How do I apply for Chef Concierge jobs at Sodexo?
Sodexo posts openings directly on its careers site, but listings don't always flag visa sponsorship availability clearly. Migrate Mate aggregates Sodexo's Chef Concierge postings and filters by sponsorship eligibility, so you can identify relevant roles without manually screening hundreds of listings. Apply directly through Sodexo's portal once you've identified a position that fits your work authorization situation.
Which visa types does Sodexo commonly use for Chef Concierge roles?
Sodexo has sponsored Chef Concierge workers across several visa categories, including H-2B for temporary or seasonal positions, TN for Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying occupational categories, and J-1 for exchange visitor programs. F-1 OPT and CPT are also accepted pathways for students in hospitality or culinary programs completing their degrees.
What qualifications does Sodexo expect for a sponsored Chef Concierge role?
Sodexo typically looks for candidates with a background in hospitality management, culinary arts, or food service operations, often supported by a relevant degree or substantial hands-on experience in upscale or institutional settings. For sponsored roles, your degree field needs to connect directly to the job duties, so a hospitality management or culinary degree carries more weight than an unrelated credential.
How do I understand the visa filing timeline for a Sodexo Chef Concierge offer?
Timeline depends heavily on which visa category applies to your situation. H-1B petitions are subject to an annual lottery with an April 1 filing window, so offers need to come well before then. TN status can be granted at the border or port of entry with no advance filing. H-2B petitions require DOL certification before USCIS filing, which adds weeks to the process. Confirm the category with Sodexo's HR team as early as possible.
