Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding Construction Jobs at Sodexo Jobs
Align your credentials to U.S. trade standards
Construction credentials from outside the U.S. don't automatically transfer. Research whether your certifications map to OSHA standards or state licensing requirements before you apply, since Sodexo's facilities clients often require site-specific compliance documentation.
Target Sodexo's facility services division specifically
Sodexo hires Construction talent primarily through its facilities management arm, not its food service side. Filter your search to facilities operations and hard services roles, where construction and maintenance needs are ongoing across healthcare, education, and corporate campuses.
Search verified sponsoring roles on Migrate Mate
Not every Construction posting at Sodexo comes with sponsorship. Use Migrate Mate to filter specifically for Sodexo Construction roles where visa sponsorship has been confirmed, so you're not spending time on applications that will hit a wall.
Understand which visa fits your construction background
Sodexo has sponsored visa types suited to both seasonal and ongoing construction work. If you're on F-1 OPT, confirm your role qualifies as STEM-adjacent or falls within your degree field, since construction management and facilities engineering degrees can often support OPT authorization.
Ask about the LCA filing timeline before accepting an offer
Before you sign an offer, ask the recruiter whether a Labor Condition Application has been filed or is in process. DOL LCA certification is required before USCIS can approve certain work visa petitions, and delays here can push your start date back by weeks.
Verify your I-9 eligibility documents match Sodexo's E-Verify enrollment
Sodexo is enrolled in E-Verify, so your employment authorization documents need to clear the system on day one. Gather your identity and work authorization documents before your start date and confirm nothing is expired, since Construction roles often have faster onboarding timelines than corporate positions.

Find Construction at Sodexo JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Sodexo sponsor H-1B visas for Construction roles?
Sodexo's H-1B sponsorship is generally focused on roles that meet USCIS specialty occupation requirements, meaning the position typically needs to require at least a bachelor's degree in a specific field. Construction management, civil engineering, and facilities engineering roles at Sodexo may qualify, but hands-on trade or craft positions generally don't meet the specialty occupation threshold. Confirm the role's classification with the recruiter early in the process.
How do I apply for Construction jobs at Sodexo?
Apply directly through Sodexo's careers portal, searching for Construction or facilities management roles. Tailor your application to highlight site experience relevant to the sector the role serves, whether healthcare, education, or corporate facilities. You can also browse open Construction positions at Sodexo filtered by visa sponsorship availability on Migrate Mate, which helps you identify which listings are accessible to candidates who need work authorization.
Which visa types are commonly used for Construction roles at Sodexo?
Sodexo has sponsored a range of visa types for Construction roles, including F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, TN, J-1, and H-2B. F-1 OPT is common for recent graduates in construction management or engineering. TN visas apply to Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying professional categories. H-2B covers temporary nonagricultural workers in seasonal or peak-load construction demand. The right fit depends on your nationality, education, and the nature of the specific role.
What qualifications does Sodexo expect for Construction roles?
Sodexo typically looks for a combination of formal education and hands-on field experience depending on the seniority of the role. Project management positions often require a degree in construction management, civil engineering, or a related field, along with demonstrated site supervision experience. Trade-specific roles emphasize relevant certifications and OSHA compliance knowledge. Familiarity with facility maintenance environments, particularly in healthcare or institutional settings, is a practical advantage given Sodexo's client base.
How do I manage timing when a Construction role at Sodexo involves visa sponsorship?
Start the conversation about sponsorship in your first recruiter call, not after an offer is extended. Certain visa filings, including H-2B petitions, are tied to DOL certification deadlines and USCIS filing windows that can add weeks to your start date. If you're on OPT with limited time remaining, confirm whether Sodexo can begin the petition process quickly enough to bridge your authorization without a gap.
