Tailor your credentials to U.S. dietetics standards
Sodexo's nutrition roles in healthcare and campus dining often require RDN eligibility. If your credential is from outside the U.S., verify equivalency through the Commission on Dietetic Registration before you apply, since hiring managers screen for this early.
Target Sodexo's healthcare and campus segments first
Sodexo's hospital and university food service divisions post Nutritionist openings more consistently than corporate accounts. Filtering your search by those verticals puts you in front of the roles most likely to move through sponsorship-eligible hiring pipelines.
Use Migrate Mate to surface active Sodexo Nutritionist openings
Sponsorship-eligible postings at large employers like Sodexo fill quickly and aren't always flagged as visa-friendly on general job boards. Search Migrate Mate to filter specifically for Sodexo Nutritionist roles that align with your visa category.
Ask about visa category fit before accepting an offer
Sodexo has sponsored Nutritionists on TN, F-1 OPT, and J-1 visas, each with different employer obligations and timelines. Clarify which pathway your hiring contact intends to use before you sign, since switching categories after an offer creates delays.
Confirm your OPT start date aligns with the role's onboarding window
Sodexo's Food & Beverage operations run on tight staffing schedules. If you're on F-1 OPT, your employment start date must match your EAD card's authorized period. A mismatch of even a few days can put your authorization at risk under USCIS rules.
Understand how TN classification applies to Nutrition roles
Canadian and Mexican nationals can enter on a TN visa under the Dietitian or Nutritionist category, but the job description must explicitly align with that classification. Ask Sodexo's recruiter to confirm the role description supports TN status before DOL documentation is prepared.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Sodexo sponsor H-1B visas for Nutritionists?
Sodexo's primary sponsorship pathways for Nutritionist roles tend to be TN visa, F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, and J-1 visa rather than H-1B visa. H-1B sponsorship is less common for this role category at Sodexo, and the H-1B lottery adds uncertainty that many hiring timelines can't absorb. If H-1B visa is your target, discuss it directly with the recruiter during the offer stage.
How do I apply for Nutritionist jobs at Sodexo?
Applications go through Sodexo's careers portal, but many sponsorship-eligible postings are easier to find when you filter by visa type from the start. Migrate Mate aggregates Sodexo's Nutritionist openings alongside sponsorship signals, which saves time compared to manually scanning general job boards. When you apply, address your visa status clearly in your cover materials so recruiters don't screen you out early.
Which visa types does Sodexo commonly use for Nutritionist roles?
Sodexo has a track record of sponsoring Nutritionists on F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, TN, and J-1 visas. TN is particularly well-suited for Canadian and Mexican candidates whose job description maps cleanly to the Dietitian or Nutritionist classification. J-1 is common for clinical nutrition internships or exchange programs embedded in Sodexo's healthcare accounts.
What qualifications does Sodexo expect for Nutritionist positions?
Most Sodexo Nutritionist postings in healthcare settings require eligibility for or active RDN credentials through the Commission on Dietetic Registration. A bachelor's degree in nutrition, dietetics, or a closely related field is standard. Roles in campus dining may be slightly more flexible on credentialing, but clinical or patient-facing positions consistently require full RDN qualification and state licensure where applicable.
How do I time my application around my visa authorization period?
Sodexo's onboarding timelines vary by division, so aligning your available start date with your current authorization window is critical. If you're on F-1 OPT, account for EAD processing time, which USCIS typically takes 90 days or more. For TN applicants, the visa can be obtained at a port of entry, which gives more flexibility, but your offer letter must be finalized and role-specific before you attempt entry.
