Frame your PMP credentials for food service
Sodexo's Project Manager roles often sit at the intersection of facilities operations and food service delivery. Highlight project experience in regulated or multi-site service environments on your resume, not just generic project lifecycle work.
Target contract-specific openings over corporate roles
Many Sodexo Project Manager postings are tied to specific client contracts in healthcare, education, or corporate dining. These site-level roles often move faster through hiring and are more likely to justify individual sponsorship decisions.
Confirm your visa category before applying
Sodexo has sponsored across several nonimmigrant categories. If you're on F-1 OPT, verify your authorization end date against a realistic offer and onboarding timeline. USCIS OPT extensions require STEM designation and a registered employer through E-Verify.
Clarify sponsorship intent during the offer stage
Large service companies like Sodexo route sponsorship decisions through HR or legal, not hiring managers. Ask directly during the offer conversation whether the role is approved for sponsorship rather than waiting for the onboarding process to surface the question.
Use Migrate Mate to filter sponsored Project Manager openings
Not every Sodexo listing will flag visa sponsorship. Use Migrate Mate to surface Project Manager roles at Sodexo that align with your visa category, so you're applying to positions where sponsorship is already part of the hiring plan.
Prepare documentation for a specialty occupation case
If your role is sponsored via H-1B or TN, Sodexo's legal team will need to demonstrate the position requires a specialized degree. Gather academic transcripts, any relevant certifications, and a clear job description mapping your degree field to project management duties.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Sodexo sponsor H-1B visas for Project Managers?
Sodexo's primary sponsorship activity for Project Manager roles has been through other nonimmigrant categories rather than H-1B visa. That said, sponsorship decisions at Sodexo are made at the contract or division level, so eligibility can vary by specific role and location. If H-1B is your target category, confirm directly with the hiring team during the offer stage whether that pathway is available for the specific position.
How do I apply for Project Manager jobs at Sodexo?
Applications go through Sodexo's careers portal, where you can filter by job function and location. Because many Project Manager openings are tied to client contracts, new listings appear frequently. Migrate Mate is a practical way to track Sodexo Project Manager postings filtered by visa sponsorship, so you're not manually reviewing every listing to determine sponsorship eligibility.
Which visa types does Sodexo typically use for Project Manager sponsorship?
Sodexo has supported Project Managers through F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, TN visa, J-1 visa, and H-2B visa categories. For Project Managers specifically, F-1 OPT is common for recent graduates moving into operations roles, while TN visa is an option for Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying management positions. The right category depends on your nationality, degree field, and the specific role structure.
What qualifications does Sodexo expect for sponsored Project Manager roles?
Most Project Manager roles at Sodexo require a bachelor's degree in business, operations management, hospitality, or a related field. Relevant certifications like PMP help, particularly for roles managing multi-site food service or facilities contracts. Experience in service-sector or regulated environments carries more weight than general project management experience at companies operating in different industries.
How do I time my application around my current visa status?
If you're on F-1 OPT, map your authorization end date against a realistic start date, including any onboarding delays common at large service companies. TN status can be obtained at the border or port of entry, which shortens the timeline significantly. For any category, confirm E-Verify enrollment with the employer before accepting an offer, as USCIS requires it for OPT STEM extensions.
