Southeastern Louisiana University’s Department of Industrial and Engineering Technology invites applications for the position of Instructor of Construction Engineering Technology beginning August 2026. We are seeking a dynamic educator to teach a range of undergraduate courses, including but not limited to: Architecture Drafting, Construction Materials & Methods, Surveying, Construction Regulations, Residential and Commercial Construction Estimation, Construction Planning & Scheduling, and Project Management.
Additional responsibilities include advising students, mentoring senior design projects, and participating in service activities at the department, college, and university levels.

- Three years of Teaching Experience in Construction-related courses
- Experience with ABET and/or ATMAE accreditation processes and assessment
- Industrial Experience in the same field
DESIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
- Commitment to undergraduate teaching and continuous program improvement
- Ability to supervise senior design projects
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Collaborative and enthusiastic approach to teaching and service
