Frame your portfolio around streaming metrics
Spotify's Marketing teams evaluate candidates on data fluency, not just creative output. Before applying, restructure your portfolio to highlight campaign performance in streaming or digital audio contexts, using listener growth, retention, and engagement metrics over vanity reach numbers.
Target roles tied to artist or label partnerships
Spotify regularly hires Marketing professionals who sit at the intersection of label relations and consumer campaigns. These hybrid roles tend to have longer hiring cycles and stronger sponsorship precedent, so applying early in a job posting's life gives you a meaningful advantage.
Research Spotify's DOL Labor Condition Application filings
The DOL's public LCA disclosure database shows the job titles and wage levels Spotify has certified for H-1B roles. Searching for Marketing-adjacent titles there tells you which role classifications Spotify has sponsored before, helping you match your application to positions with an established filing pattern.
Clarify sponsorship scope during early recruiter conversations
Spotify's recruiting process moves quickly after an initial screen. Ask directly whether the role supports H-1B sponsorship before reaching the panel interview stage, so you're not deep in a process that the hiring team assumes applies only to authorized workers.
Account for the H-1B cap lottery in your offer timeline
If you're not already in H-1B status, any Spotify offer tied to cap-subject sponsorship must align with USCIS's March registration window and an October 1 start date. Build that into your negotiation so your start date expectations are grounded in how the filing cycle actually works.
Use Migrate Mate to filter open Marketing roles by sponsorship
Spotify posts Marketing roles across multiple channels, but not all listings make sponsorship eligibility clear. Migrate Mate lets you filter specifically for Spotify Marketing openings where visa sponsorship is supported, so you're spending time only on roles that are actually accessible to you.

Find Marketing at Spotify JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Spotify sponsor H-1B visas for Marketings?
Yes, Spotify sponsors H-1B visas for Marketing roles. The company has an established pattern of filing H-1B petitions for positions across brand marketing, growth, and artist partnerships. Sponsorship is not guaranteed for every open role, so confirming eligibility with the recruiter early in the process is the most reliable way to avoid surprises before an offer stage.
Which visa types does Spotify commonly use for Marketing roles?
Spotify primarily sponsors H-1B visas for Marketing professionals, which covers specialty occupation roles requiring a relevant bachelor's degree or higher. For longer-term talent, the company also pursues EB-2 and EB-3 immigrant visa categories, which support permanent residence pathways. The right visa type depends on your background, your role classification, and where you are in your immigration journey.
What qualifications does Spotify expect for Marketing positions?
Spotify's Marketing roles typically require a bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, business, or a closely related field, though roles focused on data or growth marketing increasingly favor quantitative backgrounds. Beyond credentials, Spotify places significant weight on demonstrated knowledge of the music and audio streaming industry, campaign experience in digital channels, and comfort working with audience analytics platforms.
How do I apply for Marketing jobs at Spotify?
You can find and apply for Spotify Marketing roles through Migrate Mate, which filters listings specifically for positions open to visa sponsorship. Once you identify a role, tailor your application to reflect streaming industry fluency and data-driven campaign experience. Spotify's interview process typically includes a recruiter screen, a portfolio or case study review, and panel interviews with cross-functional stakeholders.
How do I plan my timeline if Spotify offers me H-1B sponsorship?
If you need a new H-1B and are subject to the annual cap, USCIS opens registration each March for a lottery that determines selection. Approved petitions have an October 1 start date. If you're already in H-1B status with another employer, Spotify can file a transfer petition and you can start working once USCIS issues a receipt notice, without waiting for October.
