Align your credentials to specialty occupation standards
Logistics roles at Thermo Fisher often involve supply chain systems, regulatory compliance, or cold-chain operations that require field-specific degrees. Confirm your degree maps directly to the role title before applying, since USCIS scrutinizes specialty occupation status for operations-adjacent positions.
Target distribution and operations centers strategically
Thermo Fisher's Logistics hiring spans multiple facility types, including pharmaceutical distribution hubs and research supply sites. Focus applications on postings tied to regulated industries like life sciences or biotech manufacturing, where visa sponsorship is more common than in general warehouse operations.
Use Migrate Mate to filter open Logistics roles
Not every Logistics posting at Thermo Fisher explicitly states visa sponsorship. Use Migrate Mate to surface and track roles at Thermo Fisher confirmed for sponsorship, so you're not wasting applications on positions that won't support your visa category.
Ask about LCA filing timelines during offer negotiation
Your employer must file a Labor Condition Application with the DOL before submitting your H-1B petition. For Logistics roles with a set start date tied to a facility's operational calendar, confirm the LCA is initiated promptly after your offer is signed to avoid delays.
Understand TN eligibility if you hold Canadian or Mexican citizenship
Some Logistics roles at Thermo Fisher qualify under the TN visa category for Canadian and Mexican nationals, particularly positions requiring industrial engineering or scientific credentials. TN status can be obtained at the border without a USCIS petition, which shortens the overall hiring timeline significantly.
Document OPT STEM extension eligibility before your cap gap closes
If you're on F-1 OPT and Thermo Fisher files your H-1B in the spring lottery, verify your STEM OPT extension covers the gap through October 1. Your degree field must appear on the official STEM Designated Degree Program List for the extension to apply.

Find Logistics at Thermo Fisher Scientific JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Thermo Fisher Scientific sponsor H-1B visas for Logistics roles?
Yes, Thermo Fisher Scientific sponsors H-1B visas for Logistics positions, particularly those requiring specialized education in supply chain management, industrial engineering, or operations. Because H-1B eligibility depends on the role qualifying as a specialty occupation, positions with more technical or regulatory complexity tend to be stronger candidates for sponsorship than general warehouse or fulfillment roles.
How do I apply for Logistics jobs at Thermo Fisher Scientific?
Applications go through Thermo Fisher's careers portal, where Logistics roles are listed by function and location. Before applying, confirm the posting aligns with your visa category by reviewing the job description for degree requirements and any sponsorship language. Migrate Mate filters Thermo Fisher Logistics openings by visa type, so you can identify relevant roles without manually screening each posting.
Which visa types are commonly used for Logistics roles at Thermo Fisher Scientific?
Thermo Fisher sponsors H-1B visas for degree-holding Logistics professionals and supports Green Card pathways through EB-2 and EB-3 classifications for longer-term employees. F-1 OPT and CPT are used for early-career candidates and recent graduates. Canadian and Mexican nationals may also qualify for TN status in Logistics roles that fall under recognized TN occupational categories.
What qualifications does Thermo Fisher Scientific expect for Logistics roles?
Most Logistics positions at Thermo Fisher require a bachelor's degree in supply chain management, industrial engineering, business operations, or a related field. Roles supporting pharmaceutical or life sciences distribution often expect familiarity with regulated supply chains, cold-chain handling, or ERP platforms like SAP. Advanced degrees or certifications such as APICS CSCP can strengthen your candidacy for senior or specialized positions.
How do I understand the visa filing timeline for a Logistics role at Thermo Fisher Scientific?
If you're pursuing H-1B sponsorship, Thermo Fisher would need to file during the annual cap season, with USCIS accepting registrations in March and employment starting no earlier than October 1. For TN or OPT-based roles, timelines are shorter since no lottery is involved. Clarify the expected start date with your recruiter early, then work backward to confirm the petition or LCA can be filed in time.
