About Waga Energy
Waga Energy was established to further our founders' commitments to preserving the common good and acting collectively to ensure a sustainable future.
Committed to the fight against global warming and to a sustainable energy transition, Waga Energy has developed a breakthrough technology to recover landfill gas into biomethane, also called Renewable Natural Gas (RNG). Our WAGABOX landfill gas upgrading units deliver high-quality biomethane, regardless of the quality of the raw biogas. The biomethane produced by the WAGABOX can be injected directly into the gas grid or used as fuel for vehicles. Waga Energy builds, owns, operates, and maintains the WAGABOX units under long-term contracts with landfill owners, and biomethane sales revenue is shared.
Already in operation at dozens of landfill sites worldwide, this revolutionary landfill gas purification solution has been producing clean, local renewable energy since 2015. Waga Energy is committed to a mission of driving a sustainable energy transition by making RNG accessible to all.
Guided by the values of Boldness, Mastery, and Cooperation, Waga Energy employees in Europe, North America, and other locations are united by a common purpose: maintaining a livable planet for future generations.

Find Waga Energy JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Waga Energy sponsor H-1B visas?
Yes, Waga Energy sponsors H-1B visas. The company has an active sponsorship track record, primarily supporting roles in engineering and energy operations that meet the specialty occupation standard. If you're targeting Waga Energy on an H-1B, focus on technical roles where a degree in a relevant field is a genuine requirement for the position.
Which visa types does Waga Energy sponsor?
Waga Energy sponsors H-1B, F-1 OPT, and TN visas. The H-1B is the primary long-term work visa pathway, while F-1 OPT gives recent graduates a way to start working before a full H-1B petition is filed. TN is available to Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying occupations under the USMCA agreement.
What types of roles at Waga Energy are most likely to be sponsored?
Waga Energy's core business involves renewable natural gas and landfill gas-to-energy technology, so engineering, environmental science, and project operations roles are the most natural fit for visa sponsorship. Positions requiring specialized technical knowledge are stronger candidates for H-1B classification, since they're more likely to satisfy the specialty occupation requirement.
How do I find open sponsored jobs at Waga Energy?
Migrate Mate is the most direct way to find open roles at Waga Energy with confirmed visa sponsorship. You can filter by company and visa type to see current openings rather than guessing which postings are sponsorship-friendly. This saves time and ensures you're only applying to roles where sponsorship is a real possibility.
How do I time my application to Waga Energy if I need H-1B sponsorship?
H-1B cap-subject petitions must be filed in April for an October 1 start date, so working backward, you'll want an offer in hand by February or early March at the latest. If you're on OPT, starting conversations with Waga Energy six to nine months before your authorization expires gives both sides enough runway to plan effectively.
