Description
Worldwide Mission Critical is a global owner’s representation and project management company dedicated to the mission-critical industry, helping companies deliver their data centers on time and under budget. Summary
The Senior MEP Manager serves as the Owner’s Representative and technical authority for large-scale, mission-critical data center campus construction projects, providing senior-level oversight and strategic direction to ensure delivery in accordance with the highest industry standards. This role leads all aspects of MEP program execution, including OFCI equipment procurement strategy, site logistics, BIM coordination, and MOP development and enforcement. The Senior MEP Manager drives QA/QC governance across all MEP/F/FA/BMS systems and serves as the primary technical lead throughout all phases of the Commissioning process, from Cx planning through Tier certification.
Primary Responsibilities
- Serve as the senior Owner’s Representative and primary technical authority, setting the standard for MEP execution across all phases of mission-critical data center construction.
- Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate Owner risk by holding contractors accountable to construction documents and enforcing rigorous compliance standards throughout project execution.
- Lead cross-functional stakeholder engagement at the program level, driving rapid resolution of complex technical and logistical issues across Owner, GC, subcontractor, and design teams.
- Provide executive-level oversight of MEP construction activities, including master schedule management, critical path analysis, material procurement, and senior reporting to Owner leadership.
- Champion site safety culture, ensuring full integration and enforcement of the site safety plan across all MEP trades and subcontractors.
- Direct all commissioning phases in close partnership with the CxA, providing senior technical leadership from pre-functional testing through integrated systems testing and Tier-level certification.
- Establish and enforce QA/QC frameworks across all Cx levels, leveraging internal engineering resources and external specialists to ensure systems meet design intent and Owner requirements.
- Hold the General Contractor accountable to program milestones, providing strategic direction and escalation management to maintain schedule integrity across all MEP scopes.
- Lead MEP change order review and negotiation, providing senior-level analysis to validate scope alignment, cost reasonableness, and schedule impact relative to project documents.
- Serve as the senior technical liaison between OFCI vendors, contractors, and design teams, resolving complex coordination challenges and ensuring consistent alignment with project requirements.
- Lead comprehensive review and approval of MEP submittals, shop drawings, and RFIs, leveraging deep systems knowledge to identify design gaps, constructability issues, and risk items early.
- Oversee and represent the Owner at factory witness tests for critical OFCI equipment, ensuring compliance with project specifications prior to shipment.
- Direct equipment inspection programs, leading deficiency identification, root cause analysis, and resolution management across all subcontractors, vendors, and contractors.
- Ensure full compliance with CxA documentation standards, coordinating and driving testing activities across all stakeholders with the rigor required for mission-critical Tier certification.
- Lead site-specific testing strategy and utility coordination, aligning all parties on sequencing, requirements, and Owner-critical milestones.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in construction management, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or relevant field experience preferred.
- 15+ years of progressive MEP experience in mission-critical construction, including senior management or Owner’s Representative roles on large-scale data center programs.
- Deep technical expertise in mission-critical MEP systems including high-voltage power distribution, UPS, generators, cooling infrastructure, and BMS/controls integration.
- Experience in building mission-critical data centers.

Target roles that align with their consulting core
Worldwide Mission Critical focuses on specialized consulting work. When applying, emphasize technical depth and domain expertise relevant to mission-critical environments. Roles tied to core consulting deliverables are most likely to receive H-1B or OPT sponsorship consideration.
Understand that sponsorship decisions are selective
Worldwide Mission Critical sponsors a modest volume of visas each year. That means each sponsorship decision carries weight. Position yourself as a strong long-term hire, not just a project resource, to improve your chances of receiving support.
Research their active roles before reaching out
Consulting firms often hire for specific project needs rather than ongoing pipelines. Browse verified sponsorship-eligible openings on Migrate Mate, which surfaces employers by real sponsorship history, so you're applying to roles with a genuine path to support.
Prepare for a thorough vetting process
Consulting and Professional Services firms typically assess candidates rigorously before committing to sponsorship costs. Expect multiple interview rounds focused on problem-solving, domain fit, and long-term contribution. Demonstrating consulting acumen directly strengthens your sponsorship case.

Find Worldwide Mission Critical JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Worldwide Mission Critical sponsor H-1B visas?
Yes, Worldwide Mission Critical sponsors H-1B visas. The company operates in Consulting and Professional Services, and its H-1B sponsorship has been directed toward specialized roles that require a specific degree background. Because sponsorship volume is selective, candidates should ensure their qualifications closely match the role before applying, and clarify sponsorship willingness early in the process.
What visa types does Worldwide Mission Critical sponsor?
Worldwide Mission Critical sponsors H-1B and TN visas, and also supports F-1 OPT candidates. This makes the company accessible to recent graduates on OPT, as well as experienced professionals seeking H-1B or TN status. The mix of visa types reflects a consulting firm that hires across career stages, though total sponsorship activity remains modest.
Which roles or departments at Worldwide Mission Critical are most likely to receive visa sponsorship?
Sponsorship at Worldwide Mission Critical tends to follow the company's core consulting focus, meaning roles tied directly to client-facing advisory work or technical delivery in mission-critical environments are the most likely candidates. Generic support or administrative functions are far less likely to receive sponsorship. Candidates with specialized, hard-to-source expertise in the consulting domain have the strongest positioning.
How do I find open jobs at Worldwide Mission Critical that offer visa sponsorship?
The most reliable way is to use Migrate Mate, which aggregates and verifies sponsorship-eligible job listings by employer. You can filter directly for Worldwide Mission Critical and see roles where sponsorship has historically been offered. This saves time compared to applying broadly and discovering late in the process that sponsorship isn't available for a specific position.
How do I approach the application process at Worldwide Mission Critical as a visa sponsorship candidate?
Start by identifying roles that closely match your technical background in consulting or mission-critical services. Disclose your visa status early, particularly if you're on F-1 OPT with an approaching expiration. Since the company sponsors selectively, frame yourself as a long-term investment rather than a short-term hire. A clear, confident explanation of your sponsorship timeline and work authorization needs will help keep the process moving smoothly.
