Verify your NCLEX and state licensure first
Washington State requires an active RN license before Yakima Valley Farm Workers Clinic can file any visa petition for you. Confirm your NCLEX-RN results are accepted and your WA license application is complete before initiating sponsorship conversations with the clinic.
Target rural health shortage designations strategically
Yakima Valley Farm Workers Clinic operates in Health Professional Shortage Areas, which can accelerate certain immigration pathways. When applying, highlight any prior experience in community health, migrant farmworker populations, or federally qualified health centers to align with their core clinical mission.
Understand which visa pathway fits your situation
Clinic Registered Nurse roles typically fall under EB-3 for permanent sponsorship or TN status for Canadian and Mexican nationals with a qualifying nursing degree. If you're on F-1 OPT, confirm the clinic's ability to extend into CPT or sponsor before your OPT authorization expires.
Ask about the PERM timeline during the offer stage
EB-3 sponsorship for nurses requires the employer to complete a DOL PERM labor certification before filing with USCIS, a process that can take 12 to 18 months or longer. Clarify whether Yakima Valley Farm Workers Clinic initiates PERM at the offer stage or after a probationary period.
Browse open Clinic Registered Nurse listings on Migrate Mate
Confirmed sponsorship listings for this role at Yakima Valley Farm Workers Clinic are searchable on Migrate Mate, filtered by visa type. Use it to identify active openings before reaching out to their HR team directly, so you're applying to roles with live sponsorship availability.
Prepare credential evaluation documents before applying
If you trained outside the United States, obtain a credentials evaluation from a NACES-member organization and confirm your nursing degree maps to U.S. equivalency standards. Yakima Valley Farm Workers Clinic's HR team will need this documentation early in the sponsorship assessment process.

Find Clinic Registered Nurse at Yakima Valley Farm Workers Clinic JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Yakima Valley Farm Workers Clinic sponsor H-1B visas for Clinic Registered Nurses?
Registered Nursing roles are generally not eligible for H-1B classification because the position does not consistently require a specialized bachelor's degree in a single academic discipline the way H-1B specialty occupation rules demand. Yakima Valley Farm Workers Clinic sponsors nurses through EB-2, EB-3, TN, and F-1 OPT pathways instead. If you're a Canadian or Mexican national with a qualifying nursing credential, TN status is often the fastest path.
How do I apply for Clinic Registered Nurse jobs at Yakima Valley Farm Workers Clinic?
You can find current Clinic Registered Nurse openings at Yakima Valley Farm Workers Clinic through Migrate Mate, which filters listings by visa sponsorship type so you can confirm eligibility before applying. Once you identify a relevant opening, apply directly through the clinic's careers portal and indicate your visa sponsorship needs in your application. Having your WA RN license, NCLEX results, and any credential evaluation documents ready at the time of application speeds up the hiring review.
Which visa types does Yakima Valley Farm Workers Clinic commonly use for Clinic Registered Nurse roles?
The clinic sponsors nurses through EB-3 employment-based Green Card petitions for long-term hires, TN status for Canadian and Mexican nationals holding a qualifying nursing degree, and F-1 OPT or CPT for students completing U.S.-based nursing programs. EB-2 is available in specific situations. The right pathway depends on your nationality, degree background, and whether you're seeking permanent or temporary work authorization.
What qualifications does Yakima Valley Farm Workers Clinic expect for Clinic Registered Nurse candidates?
Candidates should hold a current Washington State RN license or be in the active process of obtaining one, along with a nursing degree from an accredited program. Given the clinic's mission serving migrant farmworker communities, bilingual proficiency in Spanish is frequently listed as preferred or required. Experience in community health, primary care, or federally qualified health center settings strengthens your application meaningfully over a general acute care background.
How long does the visa sponsorship process typically take for Clinic Registered Nurse roles at Yakima Valley Farm Workers Clinic?
Timeline depends heavily on the visa type. TN status for Canadian nationals can be obtained at the port of entry in a single day with the right documentation. F-1 OPT authorization is tied to your program end date and requires USCIS approval, typically taking three to five months. EB-3 Green Card sponsorship involves DOL PERM labor certification followed by an I-140 petition with USCIS, a combined process that routinely takes 18 to 24 months or more before a visa number becomes available.
