Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding Medical Doctor Jobs at Yakima Valley Farm Workers Clinic Jobs
Get your ECFMG certification verified early
Yakima Valley Farm Workers Clinic hires physicians for clinical roles requiring full U.S. licensure. ECFMG certification for international medical graduates is a prerequisite, so have your credentials verified well before submitting any application.
Target their underserved community health focus
YVFWC operates federally qualified health centers serving agricultural and migrant worker populations. Tailor your application to emphasize experience with underserved or multilingual patient populations, since that alignment directly strengthens your candidacy for sponsorship consideration.
Clarify EB-2 NIW eligibility before applying
Physicians working in underserved areas can self-petition through the EB-2 National Interest Waiver without a PERM labor certification. If your intended role is in a Health Professional Shortage Area, confirm that designation with USCIS before your offer negotiation begins.
Ask HR directly about TN visa feasibility
TN status is available to Canadian and Mexican physicians for qualifying roles. Confirm with YVFWC's HR team whether the specific Medical Doctor position you're targeting meets TN occupational criteria before assuming it will be supported.
Negotiate sponsorship terms before signing
Once you receive an offer, confirm in writing which visa category YVFWC will file, who covers filing fees, and the expected timeline for USCIS adjudication. EB-3 PERM cases in healthcare can take 12 to 18 months before the petition stage even begins.
Browse open roles using Migrate Mate
Medical Doctor openings at YVFWC span multiple clinic locations across Washington and Oregon. Use Migrate Mate to filter active positions by visa sponsorship type so you can prioritize roles that match your current authorization status.

Find Medical Doctor at Yakima Valley Farm Workers Clinic JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Yakima Valley Farm Workers Clinic sponsor H-1B visas for Medical Doctors?
Yakima Valley Farm Workers Clinic focuses its physician sponsorship on employment-based Green Card pathways, particularly EB-2 and EB-3, rather than H-1B. As a federally qualified health center serving Health Professional Shortage Areas, YVFWC is well-positioned to support EB-2 National Interest Waiver petitions, which can be faster and more practical for physicians than the H-1B lottery route.
Which visa types are commonly used for Medical Doctor roles at Yakima Valley Farm Workers Clinic?
YVFWC sponsors EB-2 and EB-3 immigrant visas for Medical Doctor roles, along with F-1 OPT and CPT for eligible candidates in training transitions. TN visas are also supported for qualified Canadian and Mexican physicians. The EB-2 National Interest Waiver is particularly relevant here given the organization's work in federally designated underserved areas.
What qualifications and experience does Yakima Valley Farm Workers Clinic expect from Medical Doctor applicants?
YVFWC expects full U.S. medical licensure, board certification or eligibility in your specialty, and ECFMG certification for international medical graduates. Experience working with underserved, multilingual, or agricultural worker communities is a strong differentiator. Bilingual Spanish fluency is frequently listed as preferred given the clinic's primary patient population across Washington and Oregon.
How do I apply for Medical Doctor jobs at Yakima Valley Farm Workers Clinic?
You can find and apply for Medical Doctor openings at Yakima Valley Farm Workers Clinic directly through their careers portal or through Migrate Mate, which filters positions by visa sponsorship type so you can quickly identify which roles align with your work authorization. Applications typically require a CV, cover letter, and copies of your medical credentials and licensure documentation.
How long does the visa sponsorship process take for a Medical Doctor at Yakima Valley Farm Workers Clinic?
Timeline depends heavily on the visa pathway. F-1 OPT sponsorship can move quickly once you have an offer. EB-3 cases requiring PERM labor certification typically take 12 to 24 months before USCIS even receives the petition. EB-2 NIW petitions, which skip PERM entirely, can be significantly faster, often 12 to 18 months to approval depending on USCIS processing times.
