In the Loan Officer Development Program within Zillow Home Loans' Premier Team, you’ll be part of a collaborative, high-energy group focused on helping homebuyers navigate one of life’s biggest milestones — purchasing a home. The Premier Team supports Zillow’s mission to make home buying and financing easier, more transparent, and more accessible for all. Our team plays a key role in providing exceptional borrower and agent experiences by ensuring every loan moves forward smoothly and efficiently.
About the role
This is an opportunity to launch or grow your mortgage career while contributing directly to Zillow’s mission of transforming the home buying journey. You’ll gain hands-on experience in mortgage origination, lead management, and customer engagement — all while being part of a supportive, in-office team that values learning, collaboration, and excellence.
In the Loan Officer Development Program, you’ll partner with our Premier Loan Officers to provide a seamless loan origination process while helping to deliver a world-class customer experience. You’ll engage directly with borrowers and real estate agents to provide timely, high-quality support throughout the mortgage journey. Activities include, but are not limited, to responding to borrower and agent inquiries, completing timely follow-ups, and accurately inputting contracts and documentation. This role is ideal for individuals who are motivated by meaningful work, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and are eager to build a career in the mortgage industry — with the goal of transitioning into a Loan Officer role within 4 months of starting.
You Will Get To:
- Deliver a world-class customer experience by enhancing responsiveness and accessibility for customers and real estate agents, while providing exceptional service.
- Support the end-to-end loan origination process — from pre-approval to closing — ensuring accuracy, compliance, and exceptional borrower experiences.
- Manage and follow up on mortgage leads to maximize conversion opportunities and maintain a healthy pipeline.
- Complete a phased four-month learning plan that includes SAFE licensing prep, hands-on practice, and mentorship from experienced Loan Officers and Managers.
- Collaborate with teammates and leaders to identify process improvements and deliver outstanding results.
This role has been categorized as a Remote position. “Remote” employees do not have a permanent corporate office workplace and, instead, work from a physical location of their choice, which must be identified to the Company. U.S. employees may live in any of the 50 United States, with limited exceptions. In California, Connecticut, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Washington state, and Washington DC the standard base pay range for this role is $28.70 - $45.90 hourly. This base pay range is specific to these locations and may not be applicable to other locations. Actual amounts will vary depending on experience, performance and location.
Who you are
- 1+ year of experience in sales, customer service, or other client-facing roles; mortgage or financial services experience is a plus but not required.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills — with the ability to effectively communicate complex information to customers and real estate agents. You thrive in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent. Bachelor's degree in finance, business, or a related field is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills; able to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and compliance.
- Growth mindset and willingness to learn complex processes and systems in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in using CRM systems, and other relevant tools.
- Customer-centric mindset with a proactive and problem-solving attitude.
- This is a full time position, Monday–Friday 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m PST.
- Must be physically located within 75 miles of our (Seattle, WA) Office.
- Must obtain a SAFE Mortgage Loan Originator license within 90 days of hire (licensing support and training provided).
Here at Zillow, we value the experience and perspective of candidates with non-traditional backgrounds. We encourage you to apply if you have transferable skills or related experiences.

Tailor your resume to real estate platforms
Zillow's Customer Service roles support users navigating home search, mortgage inquiries, and rental transactions. Highlight experience with CRM tools, property platforms, or financial services support so your background maps directly to their product environment.
Confirm your visa type before applying
Zillow sponsors multiple visa categories, but not every Customer Service requisition is pre-approved for all types. Verify the role's sponsorship eligibility during the recruiter screen rather than after an offer, since USCIS filing timelines vary by status.
Search verified sponsoring employers on Migrate Mate
Filter by Customer Service roles at real estate tech companies on Migrate Mate to find positions where Zillow and similar employers have an active visa sponsorship history. This narrows your list to jobs where sponsorship is a known practice, not a guess.
Understand the TN pathway if you are Canadian or Mexican
Zillow sponsors TN visas for qualifying roles. Customer Service positions tied to systems analysis or management consulting functions can qualify under TN categories. Have your offer letter reflect the correct TN occupational category before your port-of-entry appointment.
Negotiate your start date around H-1B cap timelines
If your role requires cap-subject H-1B sponsorship, USCIS lottery registration opens in March for an October 1 start date. Discuss this timeline with Zillow's HR team early so your offer letter and start date account for the processing window.

Find Customer Service at Zillow JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Zillow sponsor H-1B visas for Customer Service?
Yes, Zillow sponsors H-1B visas for Customer Service roles. The process requires Zillow to file a Labor Condition Application with the DOL and submit a petition to USCIS on your behalf. Cap-subject applicants must go through the annual H-1B lottery, so confirming sponsorship eligibility with the recruiter early in the process is important to align your timeline with the USCIS registration window.
How do I apply for Customer Service jobs at Zillow?
Applications go through Zillow's careers portal, where Customer Service roles are listed by team and location. Before applying, review whether the role is listed as visa-sponsorship eligible. Tailoring your application to show familiarity with real estate platforms, CRM systems, or high-volume customer support environments will strengthen your candidacy. Migrate Mate also lists Zillow Customer Service openings filtered by sponsorship history.
Which visa types does Zillow commonly use for Customer Service roles?
Zillow sponsors a range of visa types for Customer Service positions, including H-1B, TN, F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, J-1, and Green Card pathways such as EB-2 and EB-3. The right visa depends on your nationality, current status, and the specific role's requirements. TN is available to Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying occupations, while H-1B covers a broader range of specialty occupation positions.
What qualifications does Zillow expect for sponsored Customer Service roles?
Zillow typically looks for candidates with experience in customer-facing roles involving complex product or platform support, particularly in digital or real estate contexts. Familiarity with CRM software, strong written communication, and the ability to handle mortgage, rental, or property-related inquiries are valued. For H-1B sponsorship, the role must meet USCIS specialty occupation standards, which generally requires at least a bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
How do I time my job search given visa processing requirements?
If you're targeting cap-subject H-1B sponsorship, the USCIS lottery runs in March with an October 1 start date, so you'll need an offer in hand by late February or early March. For F-1 OPT, your work authorization begins on the start date listed on your EAD card, so plan applications two to three months ahead of your intended start. TN status can be obtained at a port of entry, which gives more scheduling flexibility.
