Frame your real estate domain knowledge early
Zillow sits at the intersection of technology and residential real estate, so Business Operations candidates who can speak to proptech workflows, MLS data systems, or marketplace economics stand out well before the interview stage.
Target roles tied to core marketplace functions
Zillow's Business Operations hiring concentrates around its Premier Agent, Rentals, and Mortgages business lines. Applying directly to postings under those verticals puts you in front of teams with active headcount and established sponsorship precedent.
Confirm your visa category fits the role level
Zillow sponsors multiple visa types, but the category your offer supports depends on the role's seniority and degree requirements. Before your final round, clarify with the recruiter whether the position is structured for H-1B, TN, or OPT so there are no surprises at offer.
Use Migrate Mate to surface open Business Operations roles
Filtering by sponsorship history and role function saves time when you're working against an OPT or grace period deadline. Migrate Mate lets you browse verified Business Operations openings at Zillow with visa sponsorship context already surfaced.
Get your LCA timeline into your offer negotiation
Your employer must file a certified Labor Condition Application with the DOL before USCIS can adjudicate an H-1B petition. Build at least two to four weeks of LCA processing into your expected start date when negotiating, so the offer letter reflects a realistic timeline.
Document cross-functional project leadership for PERM eligibility
If you're aiming toward a Green Card through Zillow, PERM requires evidence that no qualified U.S. worker was displaced. Keeping records of specialized skills, cross-functional ownership, and proprietary system knowledge strengthens the business necessity argument during recruitment documentation.
