Frame Your Portfolio Around Real Estate Data
Zillow evaluates Marketing candidates on their ability to translate data into consumer insights. Reframe past campaigns around metrics like conversion rates, audience segmentation, or market trend analysis to align with how Zillow thinks about real estate audiences.
Target Roles That Align With Your Visa Category
Zillow sponsors multiple visa types, but not every Marketing role maps to every category. Growth and product marketing roles often require specialty occupation evidence for H-1B eligibility, so confirm your degree field directly supports the specific position before applying.
Search Verified Sponsoring Employers on Migrate Mate
Filter Marketing openings at Zillow by visa type on Migrate Mate to find roles actively open to sponsored candidates. This saves you from applying to positions where sponsorship isn't confirmed, which is a real time cost during a job search.
Use Your OPT Window Strategically for Timing
If you're on F-1 OPT, the H-1B cap-subject filing window opens in March for an October 1 start. Starting at Zillow before that window lets you build internal credibility before your employer submits your H-1B registration, which strengthens the petition narrative.
Prepare a Specialty Occupation Case for Marketing
USCIS scrutinizes H-1B petitions for Marketing roles more than technical positions. Document that your role requires a specific degree in marketing, communications, or a related field rather than any general business background to satisfy the specialty occupation standard.
Engage Zillow Recruiters on Role-Specific Sponsorship Early
Ask directly whether the specific Marketing role you're interviewing for is eligible for sponsorship before the offer stage. Zillow's talent acquisition team handles sponsorship decisions at the role level, not blanket company policy, so clarity early prevents delays later.

Find Marketing at Zillow JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Zillow sponsor H-1B visas for Marketings?
Yes, Zillow sponsors H-1B visas for Marketing roles. The key requirement is that the position qualifies as a specialty occupation under USCIS standards, meaning it must require a bachelor's degree or higher in a specific field like marketing, communications, or a related discipline. Growth marketing, product marketing, and brand strategy roles at Zillow have historically met this threshold, though each petition is evaluated individually.
How do I apply for Marketing jobs at Zillow?
Applications go through Zillow's careers portal at zillow.com/careers. For international candidates, Migrate Mate lists verified Marketing openings at Zillow filtered by visa sponsorship eligibility, which helps you identify relevant roles faster. In your application, highlight quantitative marketing experience and any real estate, proptech, or consumer data background since Zillow prioritizes data-fluent marketers across its teams.
Which visa types does Zillow commonly sponsor for Marketing roles?
Zillow sponsors H-1B visas for qualifying Marketing positions and supports F-1 OPT and CPT for students and recent graduates entering the field. The company also has experience with TN visas for eligible Canadian and Mexican nationals, EB-2 and EB-3 immigrant visa pathways for longer-term sponsorship, and J-1 exchange visitor arrangements, making it accessible across multiple stages of a candidate's immigration journey.
What qualifications does Zillow expect for sponsored Marketing candidates?
Zillow looks for Marketing candidates with a relevant bachelor's degree, which also anchors the H-1B specialty occupation argument. Beyond the credential, roles across brand, growth, and product marketing favor candidates who can demonstrate experience with audience analytics, multi-channel campaign management, or consumer behavior research. Familiarity with real estate market dynamics or proptech platforms is a meaningful differentiator, though not a formal requirement across every Marketing function.
How do I time my job search at Zillow around the H-1B filing process?
USCIS opens H-1B registrations in March each year, with petitions filed shortly after for an October 1 cap-subject start date. Starting a role at Zillow on OPT or CPT before March gives your employer time to prepare a strong petition and file during the registration window. If you miss the lottery, Zillow's support for cap-exempt alternatives and green card pathways through EB-2 or EB-3 may offer continuity while you wait for the next cycle.
