Frame your credentials around specialty occupation standards
ZS evaluates Partnerships Associates on the strength of their academic background in business, life sciences, or a related field. Make sure your degree aligns with the specific role scope, because USCIS scrutinizes specialty occupation determinations closely for consulting positions.
Target ZS offices with active partnership pipelines
ZS staffs Partnerships Associates against specific client verticals, particularly in pharma and med-tech. Applying to offices where those verticals are concentrated, like Chicago or New York, increases your chances of landing a team with active headcount and immediate sponsorship intent.
Ask about LCA timing during the offer stage
ZS must file a Labor Condition Application with the DOL before submitting your H-1B petition. In offer negotiations, ask HR for the expected LCA certification timeline so you can map your start date against the H-1B lottery cycle and avoid a gap in authorization.
Use Migrate Mate to find open Partnerships Associate roles at ZS
Search Migrate Mate to browse current Partnerships Associate openings at ZS Associates filtered by visa sponsorship type. It surfaces roles by sponsorship category so you can prioritize applications where your specific visa status, whether TN, H-1B1, or F-1 OPT, is already supported.
Prepare a portfolio of cross-functional project examples
ZS Partnerships Associates are expected to manage relationships across internal teams and external clients from day one. Interviewers look for concrete examples of deal support, stakeholder management, or go-to-market work, so prepare two or three specific project narratives before your final round.

How do I think about the timeline if I need H-1B sponsorship to join ZS Associates?
The H-1B lottery opens in March each year for an October 1 start date. If you're interviewing with ZS in late fall or winter, make sure your offer timeline accounts for USCIS registration in March and petition filing after selection.
