Entry Level Compensation Analyst Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get an entry level compensation analyst job?
Entry level compensation analyst roles typically look for candidates with a degree in human resources, business, finance, or a related field, along with familiarity with Excel and basic data analysis. Internship experience in HR or compensation stands out, but a strong academic project, a relevant certification like the WorldatWork CCP foundation courses, or demonstrated skills in data interpretation can also give candidates a clear edge at this stage.
Which companies hire entry level compensation analysts?
Companies hiring entry level compensation analysts right now include Jobot, Sedgwick, and Garces, Grabler & LeBrocq, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Hiring at this level covers large corporations with structured HR departments, healthcare systems, financial institutions, and mid-size firms building out their people operations teams.
Are there remote entry level compensation analyst jobs?
Yes, though on-site and hybrid postings still make up a significant share of openings at this level. About 43% of entry level compensation analyst openings are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, so candidates open to in-office work will find a broader range of options across more employers and locations.
Are these new grad compensation analyst jobs?
Yes, the listings here include new grad, recent graduate, and junior compensation analyst roles. A posting is new grad friendly when it welcomes zero to two years of experience, accepts internships or co-ops in lieu of full-time history, or explicitly lists a degree as the primary qualification rather than years on the job. Candidates with coursework in compensation, HR, or data analysis are well positioned to apply.
Which industries hire the most entry level compensation analysts?
Entry Level compensation analyst roles concentrate in Technology & Software, Law & Legal Services, and Healthcare & Medical Services, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. These sectors tend to have large, structured workforces that require regular benchmarking, pay equity analysis, and job evaluation work, creating steady demand for analysts at the entry level.
