Drive action items to closure while maintaining clear communication with internal and client stakeholders.
Support pull planning activities, schedule coordination, and overall project readiness planning.
This role is intended to strengthen front-end planning, improve communication between project stakeholders, and proactively resolve issues before they impact field execution, ultimately enabling Construction Coordinators to focus on safely and efficiently delivering work in the field.

Construction Jobs in Portland: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a construction job in Portland?
Focus your search on Portland's active commercial corridors, including the Pearl District, Lloyd District, and Central Eastside, where general contractors, subcontractors, and civil infrastructure firms hire consistently. Multifamily residential and light rail expansion projects have kept local demand high. Candidates with OSHA 30 certification, concrete or heavy equipment experience, and familiarity with Portland's urban job sites move faster through hiring than those without site-specific credentials.
Which companies hire constructions in Portland?
Employers hiring constructions in Portland right now include American Capital, McKinstry, and Mortenson Construction, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Portland's construction employer mix leans toward regional general contractors, civil engineering firms tied to TriMet and ODOT projects, and specialty subcontractors serving the city's ongoing commercial and multifamily development pipeline.
Are there remote construction jobs in Portland?
Yes, but only for specific roles. Hands-on and site-based construction work is almost entirely in person by nature. About 22% of construction openings tied to Portland are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, mostly covering estimating, project management, scheduling, and BIM coordination roles where the physical site presence is less constant.
How can I get a construction job in Portland with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Portland is through a registered apprenticeship with a local trade union, such as those affiliated with the Portland chapter of the Northwest Carpenters or laborers' unions, which accept applicants with no prior experience and pay while training. Portland-area general contractors also hire entry-level laborers and helpers for site cleanup and material handling on commercial and multifamily projects, roles that build toward journeyperson credentials over time.
Which industries hire the most constructions in Portland?
The sectors hiring the most constructions in Portland are Construction & Real Estate, Consulting & Professional Services, and Consumer Goods, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Portland's sustained investment in public transit infrastructure, commercial redevelopment in close-in neighborhoods, and a steady multifamily housing pipeline keep these sectors at the center of local construction hiring.
