Construction Project Lead Jobs in Philadelphia, PA

The McCloud Group is a leading Construction Management firm based in Jersey City, NJ, specializing in K-12 schools, college/universities, and municipal projects. We are looking for a Project Manager for our various projects throughout the Philadelphia area.

Summary of Position:

Serve as a client’s onsite representative overseeing various construction projects from conception through completion.

Responsibilities:

• Provide the administration and coordination of activities for the design and construction of complex and highly visible construction and modernization projects for the McCloud Group and their clients
• Make decisions on phasing and scheduling of projects. Prepare and/or ensure preparation of schedules for planning, design and construction. Monitor schedules and take appropriate actions to ensure that project is completed on schedule and within approved cost limitations
• Provide ongoing interface with contractors, construction managers/superintendents, architects and engineers; routinely interact with client senior managers by giving status updates and conducting walk-throughs
• Participate in the development and issuance of project procedures and policies; review and make recommendations on client wide procedures and policies
• Work with architect/engineer of record regarding change orders, interpretation of contract documents, shop drawing submittals/approvals and other technical matters as required to ensure a structurally sound, code compliant and aesthetic facility
• Review contractors claims or disputed work and advise senior management as to appropriate action. Compile contract and project documentation necessary for adjudicating or denying such claims

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or Architecture
• 5 years of full time experience as a technical specialist in one or more construction and design related fields
• 5 years’ experience managing all phases of construction work; experience working on school and/or municipal construction projects preferred
• Strong experience with Microsoft Office Suite and Construction specific software (Primavera, Microsoft Project, etc.)

Pay: $100,000.00 - $145,000.00 per year
