This role serves as a key member of the site leadership team and partners closely with functional leaders, employees, internal/external customers, and the broader enterprise to drive operational excellence.
The Production Operations Senior Manager is responsible for providing strategic and operational leadership for the manufacturing team, ensuring the organization safely delivers high-quality products while achieving business, financial, and operational objectives. This position covers all production areas in Archbald including Metal Fabrication, Circuit Card Assembly, Cable Wire Harness, and Electro-Mechanical / Electrical Systems Integration.
This leader will establish the vision and operating strategy for the manufacturing team and create an environment where people are empowered to perform at their best, continuously improve processes, and deliver exceptional results.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Establish and execute the manufacturing operations strategy in alignment with overall business objectives
- Translate business goals into clear operational priorities, measurable objectives, and accountability
- Develop long-term capacity, capability, and resource plans to support current and future needs
- Provide leadership across manufacturing operations, partnering closely with production planning & control, manufacturing engineering, quality, ESH, program management, and related functions to ensure production commitments are met
- Drive a culture of continuous improvement through Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, standard work, and disciplined problem solving
- Establish safety as a fundamental operating value and ensure all employees understand their responsibility for maintaining a safe workplace
- Partner with Quality and Engineering organizations to address root causes and prevent recurrence of quality defects
- Build and maintain a high-performing manufacturing and front-line leadership team
- Develop future leaders through coaching, mentoring, succession planning, and meaningful development opportunities
- Create an environment of accountability, trust, collaboration, and respect
- Build positive employee relations through consistency, transparency, listening, and responsiveness
- Engage employees by communicating the organization’s vision, priorities, and performance
- Drive productivity, cost reduction, labor efficiency, and effective utilization of resources
- Develop and manage operating budgets and capital investment plans
- Establish strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical field

- Demonstrated commitment to ensuring a safe operating environment and a culture that prioritizes safety
- Demonstrated capability to drive production execution and test operations, utilizing Lean Six Sigma manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives to meet quality, cost and schedule
- Significant project management and production experience operating in a manufacturing environment
- Strong track record developing and maintaining internal and external relationships with sites, programs, customer program offices, DCMA, and community leadership
- Experience creating and delivering executive level presentations
- Success leading production transformation and successful 6S and constraint management
- Demonstrated ability to make critical decisions, set priorities, and provide succinct direction in a dynamic environment
