Job Description
Responsibilities
The Director of Content & Lifecycle Marketing owns the organization's voice and writes the content that builds authority, moves deals, and keeps clients engaged. This is a hands-on writing role, not a strategy-only seat. You'll set messaging and lifecycle strategy, then execute against it across the website, SEO, long-form thought leadership, account-based campaigns, and sales materials. You'll partner closely with Growth Marketing to keep positioning consistent across acquisition and account-based work.
Job Responsibilities:
- Own the organization's tone of voice and write across formats: website copy, long-form thought leadership, SEO content, ABM campaigns, and sales enablement pieces.
- Lead executive messaging and thought leadership that builds authority and supports sales conversations.
- Build content for account-based marketing, tailored to specific accounts and buyers.
- Design and optimize nurture programs, segmented email workflows, and retargeting to improve funnel progression.
- Partner with or oversee PR as the function matures, keeping press materials and executive communications consistent with brand voice.
- Align messaging with Growth Marketing for consistent positioning across acquisition and account-based efforts.
- Partner with Brand & Creative to maintain voice consistency across all touchpoints.
- Lead and develop content and lifecycle team members, setting priorities and performance standards.
- Track engagement, conversion, and retention metrics, and use them to sharpen the work.

Content Marketing Manager Jobs in Austin: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a content marketing manager job in Austin?
Focus your search on Austin's SaaS companies, fintech firms, and direct-to-consumer brands, which post the highest volume of content marketing manager roles locally. Candidates with experience in demand generation, SEO-driven content strategy, or product-led growth content stand out in this market. Targeting employers in the Domain and East Austin tech clusters, and attending local events like Austin Startup Week, builds the connections that often precede a hire.
Which companies hire content marketing managers in Austin?
Austin content marketing manager roles are posted by Amazon Web Services, DoorDash, and Amazon and others right now, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. Austin's hiring mix skews toward high-growth tech companies and mid-market SaaS brands that rely heavily on content as a core acquisition channel.
Are there remote content marketing manager jobs in Austin?
Yes, content marketing manager work is well-suited to remote arrangements since most of the role involves writing, strategy, and digital collaboration rather than on-site presence. About 41% of content marketing manager openings tied to Austin are remote or hybrid as of June 2026, reflecting how broadly this role has shifted away from in-office requirements. Editorial and SEO-focused positions tend to carry the most fully remote flexibility among Austin listings.
How can I get a content marketing manager job in Austin with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Austin is landing a content specialist or digital marketing coordinator role at a SaaS startup or agency, then building toward a manager title within 12 to 24 months. Austin's large cohort of growth-stage tech companies frequently hire junior content contributors who take on strategy ownership quickly. A portfolio of published work, hands-on SEO results, or demonstrated email and social performance metrics matters more than years of experience to most Austin hiring managers.
Which industries hire the most content marketing managers in Austin?
Austin content marketing manager roles concentrate in Technology & Software, Electronics & Hardware, and Distribution & Wholesale, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. Austin's identity as a technology and entrepreneurship hub means companies in those sectors rely on content marketing as a primary channel for customer acquisition and brand differentiation, sustaining consistent local demand.
