Senior Team Leader
Thai Bird Restaurant | Hospitality Food Wine Community
Who We Are
Thai Bird is not your typical restaurant. We’re a growing San Antonio hospitality brand built around bold Thai flavors, great wine, genuine hospitality, and a team that genuinely enjoys taking care of people.
We’re looking for an energetic, confident, and hands-on Senior Team Leader to help lead our team and keep the restaurant running at its best. This is a leadership position for someone who loves hospitality, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and understands that great restaurants are built by great people.
If you’re the person who naturally steps up, gets things done, helps teammates succeed, and makes guests feel welcome—you may be exactly who we’re looking for.
The Role
As a Senior Team Leader, you’ll be a key leader on the restaurant floor and an ambassador for the Thai Bird brand. You’ll work alongside management to lead shifts, coach the team, maintain high hospitality standards, and make sure every guest experience reflects who we are.
This is a hands-on leadership role. You won’t be sitting in an office all day—you’ll be in the middle of the action, supporting the operations and building the team, talking with guests, solving problems, and helping create an exceptional restaurant experience.
What You'll Do
- Lead daily restaurant operations and confidently run shifts
- Coach, motivate, and develop team members through hands-on leadership
- Create an energetic, positive, and welcoming environment for both guests and staff
- Deliver exceptional hospitality and ensure every guest feels taken care of
- Lead by example with professionalism, urgency, positivity, and a genuine passion for service
- Train team members on Thai Bird standards, hospitality, menu knowledge, wine, and restaurant procedures
- Assist with staff scheduling, shift organization, opening and closing procedures, and daily operational needs
- Monitor service flow, ticket times, cleanliness, food quality, and overall restaurant standards
- Help maintain strong communication between the front and back of house
- Support inventory, restocking, cash handling, POS operations, and other restaurant systems
- Address guest concerns professionally and turn challenges into opportunities to create great experiences
- Hold team members accountable while also helping them grow and succeed
- Assist management with performance feedback, training, and employee development
- Help execute restaurant events, wine club experiences, private events, and special programming
- Represent Thai Bird’s culture and values every time you walk through the door
- Jump in wherever needed—because at Thai Bird, leadership means being willing to roll up your sleeves
What We're Looking For
We’re looking for someone who is:
- A natural leader who earns respect rather than simply expecting it
- Hospitality-minded and genuinely enjoys taking care of people
- Energetic and positive, even when the restaurant gets busy
- Hands-on and willing to jump into any part of the operation
- Accountable and comfortable holding yourself and others to a high standard
- A great communicator who can motivate a diverse team
- Organized and detail-oriented without losing sight of the guest experience
- Calm under pressure and confident making decisions during busy service
- Passionate about food, wine, restaurants, and hospitality
- Comfortable working nights, weekends, holidays, and high-volume service periods
Experience
- 4+ years of restaurant, hospitality, food & beverage, or service industry experience preferred
- Previous experience as a Restaurant Supervisor, Shift Leader, Lead Server, Assistant Manager, Team Leader, Sous Chef or similar hospitality leadership role
- Experience training and coaching employees
- Experience with POS systems and restaurant operations
- Strong food and beverage knowledge preferred
- Wine knowledge is a major plus

Sales Team Leader Jobs in Texas: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a sales team leader in Texas?
The path to a sales team leader role in Texas typically begins with two or more years in an individual contributor sales position, followed by a move into a lead or senior rep role that carries informal coaching responsibilities. Texas does not require a state-issued license for most sales team leaders, but employers in financial services may require FINRA registration depending on the products sold. A business or marketing degree strengthens candidacy, and internal promotion from top-performing rep is the most common route at large Texas employers.
How much do sales team leaders make in Texas?
Sales team leaders in Texas earn a median of about $74,590 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $45,550 for the lowest 10% to over $138,020 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire sales team leaders in Texas?
Employers hiring sales team leaders in Texas right now include pOpshelf, Target, and American Eagle Outfitters, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Texas's concentration of corporate headquarters and regional hubs in sectors like technology, energy services, and financial products means demand for sales leadership is spread across a wide range of industries.
Which Texas cities have the most sales team leader jobs?
Dallas, San Antonio, and Austin have the most sales team leader openings in Texas right now. Houston's energy and industrial distribution economy drives volume there, Dallas anchors a dense corridor of corporate headquarters and regional offices that generate consistent B2B and enterprise sales leadership demand, and Austin's fast-growing technology sector has added substantial inside sales and SaaS team lead roles in recent years.
Are there remote sales team leader jobs in Texas?
Yes, and more than most fields. About 20% of sales team leader openings tied to Texas are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, reflecting how much sales management can be done through video calls, CRM dashboards, and digital communication tools. Roles focused on inside sales teams or software products tend to offer the most remote flexibility, while positions tied to retail floors or field sales territories typically require in-person presence.
How can I get hired as a sales team leader in Texas with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is landing an individual contributor sales role first and building a record of quota attainment before requesting or being tapped for a lead position. Large Texas retailers and telecom providers regularly hire entry-level sales associates with a clear internal track to team lead, and technology companies based in Austin and Dallas often run rotational sales development programs that feed into leadership roles. Lateral moves from customer success, account management, or retail floor associate positions are common stepping stones, and completing a recognized sales methodology certification can help a candidate stand out early.
Where can I find and apply to sales team leader jobs in Texas?
You can find and apply to sales team leader jobs in Texas on Migrate Mate, which lists current openings from employers across the state. Search by city, industry, or experience level to narrow the results, then find roles that fit your background and apply directly.
