Assistant Account Manager Jobs in Texas: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a assistant account manager in Texas?
The most direct path is a bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or communications followed by an entry-level role in client services, sales coordination, or account support. Texas does not require a state-issued license for most assistant account manager positions, though roles in insurance account management may require a Texas Department of Insurance Property and Casualty license. Building experience with CRM tools and client communication is what moves candidates from coordinator to assistant account manager most quickly in Texas.
Which companies hire assistant account managers in Texas?
Employers hiring assistant account managers in Texas right now include GameStop, Finish Line, and Dollar General, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. Texas's large concentration of energy, logistics, insurance, and technology firms means consistent year-round demand for account management talent across both corporate and agency settings.
Which Texas cities have the most assistant account manager jobs?
Houston, San Antonio, and Dallas have the most assistant account manager openings in Texas. Houston's energy and petrochemical sector drives strong demand for commercial account roles, Dallas's dense concentration of corporate headquarters and advertising agencies generates steady agency-side openings, and Austin's growing technology and startup ecosystem has expanded client services hiring significantly over the past several years.
Are there remote assistant account manager jobs in Texas?
Yes, and more than many client-facing roles, since account management work is largely communication and coordination-based. About 0% of assistant account manager openings tied to Texas are remote or hybrid as of June 2026, with fully remote positions most common in technology, SaaS, and digital marketing accounts where client relationships are maintained entirely through email, video calls, and project management platforms.
How can I get hired as a assistant account manager in Texas with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry point is a sales coordinator, client services representative, or marketing assistant role at a Texas agency or corporate accounts team, then moving up after demonstrating client management ability. Large Texas insurers like Texas Farm Bureau and USAA run associate programs that bring in candidates without direct account management experience. Building a portfolio of client communications, campaign summaries, or account reports and earning a HubSpot or Salesforce certification gives entry-level candidates a measurable edge in Texas interviews.
Where can I find and apply to assistant account manager jobs in Texas?
You can find and apply to assistant account manager jobs in Texas on Migrate Mate, which lists current Texas openings updated regularly. Search the listings to find roles that match your experience level, location, and specialization, then apply directly to the ones that fit.
