Assistant Account Manager Jobs in Georgia: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a assistant account manager in Georgia?
Most assistant account manager roles in Georgia require a bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or communications, and Georgia imposes no state-issued license for the role itself. Employers in Atlanta and other major markets typically look for candidates who have completed an internship or held an entry-level coordinator role. Building proficiency in a widely used CRM platform and assembling a portfolio of client communication samples strengthens any application considerably.
Which companies hire assistant account managers in Georgia?
Companies currently hiring assistant account managers in Georgia include EPIC Insurance Brokers & Consultants, Parker Hannifin, and UpSwell Marketing, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Georgia's concentration of Fortune 500 headquarters and major logistics firms in the Atlanta metro makes it one of the more active states for account management hiring at this level.
Which Georgia cities have the most assistant account manager jobs?
Alpharetta, Duluth, and Atlanta have the most assistant account manager openings in Georgia. Atlanta dominates the distribution because it is home to the headquarters of major media, technology, and logistics companies that maintain large client services teams, while Savannah's growing port economy and Augusta's expanding healthcare and cybersecurity sectors drive demand in those markets.
Are there remote assistant account manager jobs in Georgia?
Yes, and they are fairly common, since the role is primarily desk-based and centers on communication, reporting, and client coordination that translate well to remote settings. About 100% of assistant account manager openings tied to Georgia are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, reflecting how widely this role has adapted to flexible arrangements. Client strategy and reporting tasks are the parts of the job most likely to be performed fully remotely.
How can I get hired as a assistant account manager in Georgia with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is a marketing coordinator or client services associate role, which large Atlanta-area employers such as Cox Media Group and Manhattan Associates use as a direct pipeline into account management. Georgia State University and the University of Georgia both run alumni recruiting programs that connect new graduates to Atlanta employer networks. Completing a Google or HubSpot certification and bringing even one internship project that shows measurable client results gives a first-time candidate a clear edge over other applicants.
