Sales Leader Jobs in Georgia: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a sales leader in Georgia?
Most sales leader roles in Georgia require a bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field, followed by several years of individual contributor sales experience. Georgia does not require a state-issued license to work in a sales leadership capacity, but many employers in regulated sectors such as insurance or financial services expect candidates to hold relevant Georgia-recognized credentials before stepping into a leadership role.
How much do sales leaders make in Georgia?
Sales leaders in Georgia earn a median of about $82,400 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $47,800 for the lowest 10% to over $150,560 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire sales leaders in Georgia?
Employers hiring sales leaders in Georgia right now include American Eagle Outfitters, Express, and Sephora, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Georgia's concentration of Fortune 500 headquarters and major regional offices in and around Atlanta means the state consistently produces high-volume hiring across technology, logistics, healthcare, and financial services sectors.
Which Georgia cities have the most sales leader jobs?
Atlanta, Alpharetta, and Athens have the most sales leader openings in Georgia. Atlanta dominates because of its dense cluster of corporate headquarters and technology firms, while Alpharetta's technology corridor and Savannah's expanding logistics and port-adjacent industries drive steady demand outside the core metro.
Are there remote sales leader jobs in Georgia?
Yes, and more than most fields, because sales leadership is heavily phone- and video-conference-driven at the management level. About 88% of sales leader openings tied to Georgia are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, reflecting national employer flexibility for roles that center on pipeline oversight and team coaching rather than on-site presence. The most remote-eligible positions tend to involve enterprise SaaS, financial services, and national account management.
How can I get hired as a sales leader in Georgia with little or no experience?
The most realistic path is moving into a team lead or senior account executive role first at a Georgia-based employer, then transitioning into formal management. Companies like NCR Atleos, Equifax, and mid-size technology firms in the Alpharetta corridor regularly promote from within and run structured development programs for high-performing individual contributors. Building experience managing junior reps informally, earning a certification such as the Certified Professional Sales Leader designation, or completing a Georgia-based MBA with a sales concentration strengthens a candidacy significantly.
Where can I find and apply to sales leader jobs in Georgia?
You can find and apply to sales leader jobs in Georgia on Migrate Mate, which lists current Georgia openings. Find roles that fit your experience and location and apply directly to each one.
