Entry Level Content Writer Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get an entry level content writer job?
Entry level content writer roles prioritize writing samples over work history, so a focused portfolio is your strongest asset. Include blog posts, social copy, or any published pieces, even from freelance gigs, class projects, or personal sites. Tailoring each application to the employer's tone and content style, and showing familiarity with SEO basics, gives candidates a clear edge at this stage.
Which companies hire entry level content writers?
Companies hiring entry level content writers right now include BioMarin Pharmaceutical, Collabera, and Medpace, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. At this level, hiring covers startups building content from scratch, mid-size brands growing their marketing teams, and agencies that regularly onboard junior writers for client accounts.
Are there remote entry level content writer jobs?
Yes, and content writing is one of the more remote-accessible entry level fields. About 32% of entry level content writer openings are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, reflecting how widely employers treat writing as work that doesn't require an office. Filtering by location preference on Migrate Mate lets you see which openings match your setup.
Are these new grad content writer jobs?
Yes, the listings here include new grad, recent graduate, and junior content writer roles. A posting is new-grad friendly when it welcomes zero to two years of experience, accepts internship work or a portfolio in place of full-time history, or explicitly mentions training. Searching for "new grad" or "junior" alongside content writer surfaces the most relevant openings for candidates entering the field.
Which industries hire the most entry level content writers?
Entry Level content writer roles concentrate in Technology & Software, Biotechnology & Pharmaceuticals, and Consulting & Professional Services, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026.
