Entry Level Media Buyer Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get an entry level media buyer job?
Entry level media buyer roles typically look for familiarity with digital advertising platforms, basic data analysis skills, and a willingness to learn campaign workflows from the ground up. A portfolio showing even small-scale ad campaigns, coursework in marketing or communications, or a completed internship gives candidates a real edge. Certifications in Google Ads or Meta Blueprint help demonstrate platform fluency before your first full-time role.
Which companies hire entry level media buyers?
Companies hiring entry level media buyers right now include WITHIN, ektello, and Circle K, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Hiring comes from a mix of advertising agencies, in-house brand teams, and media companies that build out their junior buying talent through structured on-the-job training.
Are there remote entry level media buyer jobs?
Yes, though the mix varies. About 100% of entry level media buyer openings are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, with availability shifting by industry and employer. Digital-first agencies and performance marketing teams tend to offer the most flexible arrangements for candidates at this stage, while traditional media companies more often prefer in-office schedules early in a career.
Are these new grad media buyer jobs?
Yes, many of the openings here are new grad and junior roles designed for recent graduates and early-career candidates. A new grad-friendly posting typically welcomes zero to two years of experience, accepts internships or coursework in place of full-time history, and values a portfolio or demonstrated platform knowledge. Look for listings that mention training programs or mentorship, which signal the employer is prepared to develop entry level talent.
Which industries hire the most entry level media buyers?
Entry Level media buyer roles concentrate in Retail, Science & Research, and Media & Entertainment, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. These sectors drive consistent demand because they run high-volume paid media campaigns that require dedicated buying support, creating a steady pipeline of junior openings for candidates just entering the field.
