Diversified Gas & Oil Corporation (DGOC) is an established owner and operator of producing conventional and unconventional natural gas & oil wells and midstream pipelines and compression stations concentrated in the Appalachian Basin in the United States. Headquartered in Birmingham, AL, our field operations are located throughout the Appalachian Basin in the states of Tennessee, Kentucky, Virginia, West Virginia, Ohio, and Pennsylvania. In 2021, Diversified announced our expansion into our Central Regional Focus Area, which includes producing areas within Louisiana, Texas, Oklahoma, and Arkansas.
POSITION SUMMARY & RESPONSIBILITIES
The Electrician will work as a part of the Measurement & Controls / Electrical field operation team and the larger IT/OT team. The qualified individual will provide field level electrical support in the design, installation, programming, maintenance, and troubleshooting of all oil and gas facility process equipment.
Special focus to be placed on:
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical equipment and systems, including motors, transformers, control panels, and lighting in compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
- Perform regular inspections, testing, and preventive maintenance of electrical systems to ensure operational efficiency and reliability.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues, providing effective solutions to minimize downtime.
- Interpret electrical blueprints, technical drawings, and wiring diagrams to carry out installations and repairs accurately.
- Collaborate with other team members and departments to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems into operations.
- Ensure compliance with industry codes (e.g., NEC, IEC, API), company standards, and environmental regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance, repairs, and inspections performed.
- Respond to emergency situations promptly, minimizing risks to personnel and equipment.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Must be a certified electrician with 10+ years of experience preferred.
- Oil and gas industry experience preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with company management, engineering, and operations staff.
- Must be able to work with a team, take direction from supervisor(s), prioritize work schedules and focus attention on details.
- Able to multi-task and prioritize work to achieve critical timelines.
- Ability to work safely in challenging environments, including, and not limited to high temperature, noise, dust, and other industrial / oilfield locations.
- Must possess a valid driver's license and a driving record satisfactory to the company and insurer.
- Available for emergency and on-call support.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
- Must be able to move or traverse from one location on the job site to another. This includes the ability to remain in a stationary position for extended periods, frequently positioning oneself (e.g., to stoop, kneel, or squat) to perform tasks, and occasionally ascend/descend (e.g., ladders or uneven terrain).
- Ability to detect, determine, perceive, identify, recognize, judge, observe, inspect, estimate, and assess driving operations effectively (either naturally or with corrective lenses).
- Ability to operate a 4X4 vehicle.
- Must be able to repetitively move or position feet, shoulders, arms, wrists, and back. Constantly operates, uses, and positions hands and fingers in performance of work.
- Must be able to work atop elevated surfaces and traverse various heights.
- Lifts or carries 70 lbs. or more, which falls into the "Very heavy" category (over 50 pounds).
- Frequently pushes and pulls with a maximum force of 150 ft./lbs.
- Constantly works in outdoor weather conditions and is exposed to varying environmental conditions, including well site conditions. The position requires the ability to perform tasks in physically demanding environments, encompassing the essential physical requirements and efforts outlined.

Driver Requirements:
- Must possess a valid driver's license and maintain a clean driving record.
- This position involves operating a company vehicle for work-related travel or receiving a stipend for operating a personal vehicle for company use; adherence to all traffic laws and company vehicle policies is required.
- Candidates must be eligible to be insured under the company's vehicle insurance policy.
