Job Overview
Handi-Foil, an industry leader in the manufacture, sale, marketing, and distribution of disposable aluminum bakeware has immediate openings for a Controls Technician at our Wheeling facility on 1st shift. This privately held company has been in business for over forty years and is experiencing robust growth year after year.
Position Responsibilities:
- Troubleshooting malfunctions in mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, or computer systems to identify and resolve problems
- Advanced electronic troubleshooting of 24VDC circuits up through 480VAC systems as well as repair and installation of controls and systems and electric motors
- Installing new controls or upgrading existing ones
- Monitoring and adjusting equipment to ensure proper operation of machinery or processes
- Inspecting equipment to diagnose issues before repairs are performed
- Analyzing data from sensors to help determine proper functioning of equipment
- Communicating with supervisors about equipment issues and progress of repairs
- Complete all maintenance and repairs accurately, safely, and in a timely manner while following company policies and procedures.
Position Requirements:
- Minimum 10 years of experience as a Maintenance Mechanic in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of electrical instruments with schematics to diagnose and troubleshoot control systems
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
- Knowledgeable with machine control circuitry, PLC’s, servo drives, and motors.
- Must have a high school diploma (college degree in electrical or classes are a plus)
- Poses proper tools and test equipment.
- Willing to work weekends
Shift hours: 6:30am to 2:50pm
Compensation range of $32.00 - $37.00/hour depends on related skills and experience.
