At Refurbiture, we give commercial office furniture a second life through innovative remanufacturing. We combine craftsmanship, technology, and sustainability to create products that help our customers save money while reducing environmental impact.
We're looking for an experienced Director of Operations to lead our manufacturing team of approximately 23 employees. This person will be responsible for creating a safe, productive, and positive work environment while driving continuous improvement throughout our operation.

Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and develop a production team of approximately 23 employees
- Foster an inclusive, respectful, and high-performance workplace culture
- Ensure daily production goals are achieved while maintaining exceptional quality standards
- Improve manufacturing processes, efficiency, and workflow
- Monitor production schedules and coordinate with purchasing, warehouse, and customer service teams
- Promote and enforce a safe working environment
- Develop supervisors and future leaders within the organization
- Track production metrics including productivity, quality, labor efficiency, and on-time delivery
- Lead daily production meetings and communicate company priorities
- Collaborate with engineering to improve manufacturing process
- Assist in equipment planning, maintenance scheduling, and capital improvement projects
- Help scale operations as the company continues to grow
Qualifications
- 5+ years of leadership experience in a manufacturing environment
- Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop production teams
- Strong understanding of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement principles
- Experience managing production schedules and workflow
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Strong organizational and decision-making abilities
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience operating or managing CAD-driven manufacturing equipment, including CNC routers, panel saws, or similar automated machinery
- Experience with woodworking, furniture manufacturing, millwork, or related industries
- Bilingual (English/Spanish)
- Experience implementing Lean Manufacturing, 5S, or Kaizen initiatives
- ERP or production management software experience
