As a Product Manager Project Intern, you will contribute to impactful, short-term projects that give you hands-on experience with real advertising products. You will learn how product teams identify customer problems, define solutions, work with cross-functional partners, and measure impact in a fast-paced global environment. This role is a strong opportunity to build practical product management skills while exploring your interest in ads, e-commerce, and AI-powered creative products. As a project intern, you will have the opportunity to engage in impactful short-term projects that provide you with a glimpse of professional real-world experience. You will gain practical skills through on-the-job learning in a fast-paced work environment and develop a deeper understanding of your career interests. Responsibilities:
- Assist in planning, launching, and optimizing TikTok global incentive and guidance campaigns across various markets/regions.
- Conduct data analysis and regular performance tracking to provide insights, identify anomalies, and coordinate resources for follow-up and deep dives to support business growth.
- Assist strategy team with business performance reviews and optimize data systems to quickly locate issues or identify opportunities.
- Collaborate cross-functionally and help drive implementation by understanding business needs.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Marketing, Mathematics, Economics, or related field.
- Strong interest in B2B marketing, affiliate marketing, performance media, and creative advertising.
- Proficient in Excel/SQL and familiar with common data analysis methods.
- Familiarity with TikTok as a platform and curiosity about business presence on TikTok.
- Excellent communication, time management, and collaboration skills.
- Creative eye and detail-oriented mindset.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- 5 days a week commitment.
- Cross-disciplinary background (STEM & Business) is a plus.
- Prior internship or project experience in internet companies (e.g., Ads, Social Media, E-commerce) is preferred. Exposure to growth, subsidies, or ROI-related projects is beneficial.
- Ability to intern for 6 months or longer.
COMPENSATION
- Compensation Description (Hourly) - Campus Intern: The hourly rate range for this position in the selected city is $30 - $50. Benefits may vary depending on the nature of employment and the country work location. Interns have day one access to health insurance, life insurance, wellbeing benefits and more. Interns also receive 10 paid holidays per year and paid sick time (56 hours if hired in first half of year, 40 if hired in second half of year). Interns who are not working 100% remote may also be eligible for housing allowance. The Company reserves the right to modify or change these benefits programs at any time, with or without notice.

Can I do part-time CPT as a Project Specialist while still in class?
Yes. CPT can be authorized part-time, typically defined as fewer than 20 hours per week, while you remain enrolled. Many Project Specialist roles accommodate a hybrid schedule, especially in planning or coordination phases. Part-time CPT does not count against your 12-month full-time CPT limit, which matters if you plan to use OPT after graduation.
What happens if my Project Specialist CPT extends beyond the semester?
CPT authorization is tied to a specific time period on your I-20. If your project extends beyond the authorized dates, your DSO must issue a new or amended I-20 before you continue working. Working past your CPT end date without a new authorization puts your F-1 status at risk. Plan for semester-by-semester renewals if the role spans multiple terms.

Twelve months or more of full-time CPT disqualifies you from using OPT after graduation. Part-time CPT has no effect on OPT eligibility. If you're planning to use OPT for post-graduation work or as a bridge to H-1B visa sponsorship, track your full-time CPT months carefully and ask your DSO to confirm your running total before accepting a full-time Project Specialist engagement.
