What You’ll Do
- Lead Strategic Growth: Develop and execute a long-term revenue strategy to expand business with existing and new B2B and Consumer Technology clients across the Vox Media Podcast Network.

- Tech Category Authority: Serve as an internal and external thought leader on the B2B and Consumer Technology advertising landscape, providing market intelligence and insights to shape sales strategies and inspire innovative client solutions.

- Cross-Functional Partnership: Collaborate closely with editorial, marketing, creative, production and operations teams to deliver custom, culturally resonant proposals that reflect how B2B and Consumer Technology brands communicate with their audiences.
- Brand Advocacy: Represent the Vox Media Podcast Network at key industry events, technology conferences, and client forums to expand our presence and thought leadership within the B2B and Consumer Technology ecosystem.
Who You Are
- Proven Technology Media Seller: 10+ years of digital media and/or podcast & talent sales experience with a demonstrated track record of success in the B2B and/or Consumer Technology categories. This is a NYC based role.
- Strategic Dealmaker: Skilled in complex, consultative sales to senior B2B and Consumer Technology marketing executives and agency leadership, with experience securing large-scale, integrated partnerships.
- Podcast & Talent Native: Deep familiarity with the podcast and talent advertising landscape — editorial and talent integrations, multi-platform partnerships, scaled podcast buys — and a genuine passion for the medium.
- Tech Insider: Strong understanding of how B2B and Consumer Technology brands approach brand building, thought leadership, and performance marketing, with an established network within those sectors.
- Visionary & Entrepreneurial: A self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth environment, with the ability to anticipate market shifts and client needs before they surface.
- Influential Communicator: Exceptional presentation, negotiation, and storytelling skills, with the ability to inspire and persuade at the highest levels of a client organization. Ability to think critically, connect advertiser needs to the right show and talent and communicate the value proposition with clarity and confidence.
- Data-Informed Strategist: Comfortable leveraging performance data, audience insights, and category trends to craft compelling, measurable solutions that justify and grow podcast and talent investment.
In this role, you are not just selling media — you are shaping how B2B and Consumer Technology brands connect with audiences through premium audio and video content, trusted voices, and unique scale. As a Senior Director of Podcast Partnerships, your ability to see around corners, anticipate client needs, and deliver category-defining ideas will directly influence Vox Media's position as a leading force in the podcast and talent space!

Get Access To All JobsSenior Art Director CPT: Frequently Asked Questions
Does a Senior Art Director role qualify for CPT authorization?
Yes, if the work ties directly to your enrolled coursework. Programs in graphic design, advertising, visual communications, or integrated media typically support this connection. Your DSO will ask you to demonstrate how the job duties, leading creative teams, directing brand campaigns, managing visual output, map to specific courses or your thesis. A vague job title alone isn't enough; the description has to do the work.
Can I do CPT at a freelance studio or small creative agency?
You can, but the employer must be a legitimate U.S. business entity and must sign whatever documentation your school requires. Small studios sometimes lack HR infrastructure to complete school-specific CPT paperwork quickly. Confirm upfront that the employer has a federal Employer Identification Number, can provide an official offer letter on company letterhead, and is willing to complete your school's authorization forms before your start date.
How do I find Senior Art Director CPT roles worth applying to?
Migrate Mate lists Senior Art Director openings at employers with verified sponsorship histories, which tells you which companies have navigated international hiring before. That history matters even for CPT, because employers already enrolled in E-Verify or familiar with LCA filings are more likely to handle your onboarding paperwork correctly and on time.
What happens if my CPT role shifts into a different creative function mid-internship?
If your responsibilities change substantially, say, from art direction to UX research or motion design, your original CPT authorization may no longer cover the work. Notify your DSO immediately if your duties shift. They'll evaluate whether an amended or new CPT authorization is needed. Working outside your authorized CPT scope puts your F-1 status at risk, even if the employer initiated the change.
Does using 12 months of full-time CPT affect my OPT eligibility after graduation?
Yes. Using 12 or more months of full-time CPT eliminates your OPT eligibility entirely. Part-time CPT, regardless of duration, does not count against OPT. If you're offered a full-time Senior Art Director role on CPT, track your cumulative full-time CPT days carefully across all employers and semesters. Confirm the running total with your DSO before accepting any new full-time CPT authorization.
