The Strategic Development team in Naples, FL is responsible for supporting product development with strategic planning, data analytics and corporate development activities. The successful candidate will perform various projects related to these topics with guidance from the Strategic Development Team, while possessing an internal sense of urgency, passion and detail. During the Summer Associate program, candidates will interact with all key departments that impact product development. MAIN OBJECTIVE
To better understand the theories, ideas, and practices of Strategic Planning, Data Analytics and Corporate Development by actively engaging in a "hands-on," work-based, learning experience.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead cross-functional analyses supporting product commercialization decisions.
- Translate complex analytical findings into actionable recommendations for business leaders.
- Develop and/or enhance competitive intelligence and pricing models using Excel and PowerBI.
- Create executive-ready deliverables and present strategic recommendations to cross-functional leadership (Product Management, Sales, Finance, etc.).
- Identify and implement improvements to analytical methodologies, tools, and data processes.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's Degree required.
- Enrolled in a Master’s program required, preferably in Business, Analytics or a related field. (Recent graduates must be within six months of their graduation date to qualify.)
- Experience with data modeling and analytics highly preferred.
- Familiarity with strategic planning methodologies, financial analysis, and data engineering preferred.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS/SPECIALIZED COURSES AND/OR TRAINING:
Intermediate to Expert computer skills. Be able to follow written and verbal direction. PowerPoint applications proficiency a plus.
MACHINE, TOOLS, AND/OR EQUIPMENT SKILLS:
- PC; Familiarity with Microsoft Outlook; PowerPoint; Word and Excel; Power BI.

A generic 'business internship' title without specific deliverables tied to coursework is harder to authorize.
Can I do part-time CPT for a strategy role while taking classes?
Yes. Part-time CPT, defined as 20 hours or fewer per week, doesn't affect your OPT eligibility regardless of how many semesters you use it. Full-time CPT for 12 months or more eliminates OPT entirely, so if you plan to extend your authorization after graduation, structure your strategy engagement as part-time whenever your course load allows.
What documentation do strategy employers typically need for CPT?
Most employers need your updated I-20 with the CPT authorization page, your valid F-1 visa, and your I-94 record showing lawful status. Some strategy firms, particularly those in consulting or finance, also request confirmation of your DSO's authorization letter or a copy of your enrollment verification. Confirm the full list with HR before your first day.
How do I find strategy employers that are experienced with CPT hiring?

Yes. CPT must be directly tied to your field of study, not just your degree level. A master's student in business analytics pursuing a strategy role in data-driven market research has a clear connection. A computer science student doing the same role needs to demonstrate the curricular link explicitly, such as through a course on technology strategy or competitive intelligence, before the DSO will authorize it.
