What You'll Be Doing:
Eaton Partners’ Summer Analyst Program provides undergraduates with a hands-on introduction to the role of a Project Management Analyst within Eaton’s Global Private Funds Group. Summer Analysts at Eaton Partners will develop the skills necessary to carry them through to the next level of their careers.
The Summer Analyst Program provides students with a hands-on introduction where you will work alongside our project management and sales professionals, from the Analyst through the Managing Director levels, and will gain significant exposure to this career.
The Summer Analyst internship program is designed to provide an opportunity for career exploration and to enhance the development of students’ potential. The program is structured to provide each Summer Analyst with the support needed for a successful summer, beginning with a robust training program. There is also a formal mentorship program, social networking events, mid and end of summer reviews, and significant learning opportunities outside of your day-to-day projects.
What We're Looking For:
Summer Analyst candidates should possess outstanding academic records and have demonstrated strong leadership ability through involvement in extracurricular endeavors such as student government, athletics, and cultural and entrepreneurial activities. The ideal candidate will possess the following:
- Conducting industry research and building out industry databases
- Preparing presentation materials such as PowerPoint slides and summaries for pitchbooks
- Performing in-depth quantitative financial analyses
- Contributing to team meetings and discussions
- Building reports and logging information in Salesforce

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to effectively manage multiple simultaneous project deadlines

Does a Project Analyst internship qualify for CPT?
Yes, if the role connects directly to your enrolled coursework and your DSO approves it before you start. The key test is whether project management, data analysis, or business operations work appears in your academic program. Internships labeled 'contract,' 'temp,' or 'consultant' still qualify as long as the academic link is documented and your I-20 reflects the CPT authorization.
Can I do CPT as a Project Analyst while taking a full course load?
Part-time CPT (under 20 hours per week) is compatible with full-time enrollment and is the most common arrangement for F-1 students balancing academic requirements. Full-time CPT (20 or more hours weekly) is allowed but counts against your OPT: 12 or more months of full-time CPT eliminates your post-graduation OPT eligibility entirely. Most students choose part-time CPT specifically to protect that 12-month buffer.
What documents does a Project Analyst employer need from me for CPT?
Your employer needs a copy of your CPT-authorized I-20 showing the specific employer name, authorization dates, and whether it's part-time or full-time. Some employers also request your SEVIS ID and a letter from your DSO confirming authorization. Employers do not file anything with USCIS for CPT; the authorization lives entirely within your school's records and your I-20.
How do I find Project Analyst roles open to CPT students?
Search Migrate Mate to find Project Analyst openings filtered by employers with a history of hiring international students. Because CPT authorization is school-issued, employers don't always advertise it, so targeting companies with demonstrated international hiring patterns is more reliable than filtering by self-reported sponsorship labels on general job boards.
Does CPT as a Project Analyst help my H-1B chances later?
CPT itself doesn't affect H-1B visa eligibility, but the employer relationship can. Completing CPT with a company that later sponsors your H-1B means they already know your work quality and have existing immigration counsel. Look for the employer's O*NET job zone classification for Project Analyst roles: zone four or five positions, which require a bachelor's degree or higher in a directly related field, support specialty occupation arguments for a future H-1B petition.
