Customer Marketing Lead Jobs in Kansas: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a customer marketing lead in Kansas?
Most customer marketing lead roles in Kansas require a bachelor's degree in marketing, business, communications, or a related field. No state-issued license applies to this role. Kansas employers, particularly those in financial services and technology in the Wichita and Overland Park corridors, typically look for candidates who have progressed through marketing coordinator or specialist roles and can show ownership of customer engagement or retention programs.
How much do customer marketing leads make in Kansas?
Customer marketing leads in Kansas earn a median of about $154,510 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $97,870 for the lowest 10% to over $243,790 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire customer marketing leads in Kansas?
Employers hiring customer marketing leads in Kansas right now include AdamsBrown, Garmin, and Black & Veatch, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Kansas's concentration of corporate headquarters and regional hubs in sectors like insurance, agriculture technology, and aerospace creates steady demand for professionals who manage customer communications and growth programs.
Which Kansas cities have the most customer marketing lead jobs?
Overland Park, Wichita, and Olathe account for the largest share of customer marketing lead openings in Kansas. Overland Park and the broader Kansas City metro drive volume through their dense cluster of corporate headquarters and regional offices in insurance, fintech, and professional services, while Wichita generates demand through its manufacturing, aerospace, and healthcare employer base.
Are there remote customer marketing lead jobs in Kansas?
Yes, and more than most fields, because customer marketing work is largely digital and desk-based. About 51% of customer marketing lead openings tied to Kansas are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, reflecting how broadly this role translates to distributed team structures. Campaign strategy, email lifecycle management, and CRM-driven programs are the functions most commonly performed remotely.
How can I get hired as a customer marketing lead in Kansas with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is through a marketing coordinator or marketing specialist role at a mid-size Kansas employer, then moving laterally into customer-focused work. Large Kansas employers in insurance and technology, such as regional BCBS affiliates or Garmin's marketing division, periodically hire associate or junior marketing roles that feed into customer marketing tracks. Building a portfolio of email campaigns, customer journey maps, or retention projects and earning a marketing automation certification strengthens a candidacy meaningfully.
Where can I find and apply to customer marketing lead jobs in Kansas?
You can find and apply to customer marketing lead jobs in Kansas on Migrate Mate, which lists current Kansas openings updated regularly. Find roles that match your experience and location preferences and apply directly to the ones that fit.
