Account Executive Jobs in Kansas: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a account executive in Kansas?
Most account executive roles in Kansas require a bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field along with a demonstrated sales record. Kansas does not require a state-issued license for most account executive positions, though those selling insurance products must hold an active Kansas Department of Insurance producer license. Candidates typically enter through inside sales or business development roles at Kansas employers before advancing to full account executive responsibility.
Which companies hire account executives in Kansas?
Employers hiring account executives in Kansas right now include Spectrum, Courser, and T-Mobile, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Kansas's concentration of technology firms in Overland Park, energy companies in Wichita, and agribusiness operations across the state creates consistent demand for account executives across multiple industries.
Which Kansas cities have the most account executive jobs?
Wichita, Overland Park, and Topeka have the most account executive openings in Kansas. Overland Park and the broader Kansas City metro drive the largest share of postings due to their concentration of technology, financial services, and corporate headquarters, while Wichita generates strong demand through its aerospace, manufacturing, and energy sectors.
Are there remote account executive jobs in Kansas?
Yes, and more than many field-based roles, since account executive work centers on relationship management and communication that translate well to remote settings. About 50% of account executive openings tied to Kansas are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, reflecting how broadly tech and SaaS employers distribute their sales teams. Fully remote positions are most common in software, HR technology, and insurance account management.
How can I get hired as a account executive in Kansas with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is landing an inside sales representative or sales development representative role at a Kansas-based technology or financial services company, then building toward an account executive promotion. Employers in Overland Park's SaaS corridor and Wichita's commercial insurance market regularly hire candidates with strong communication skills over direct experience. Completing a Kansas Department of Insurance producer license gives candidates a concrete credential edge for benefits and insurance-adjacent account executive roles, and many larger Kansas employers offer structured sales development programs for early-career hires.
Where can I find and apply to account executive jobs in Kansas?
