Account Executive Jobs in Florida: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a account executive in Florida?
Most account executive roles in Florida require a bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or communications, followed by entry-level sales or customer-facing experience. Florida does not require a state-issued license specifically for account executives, though roles in regulated industries such as insurance sales require a Florida Department of Financial Services license. Building product knowledge in a high-demand Florida sector like SaaS, healthcare, or hospitality strengthens a candidate's path considerably.
Which companies hire account executives in Florida?
Employers hiring account executives in Florida right now include T-Mobile, Comcast, and Spectrum, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Florida's concentration of technology, healthcare, and financial services firms means consistent demand from both regional offices of national companies and homegrown Florida brands with large sales teams.
Which Florida cities have the most account executive jobs?
Tampa, Miami, and Jacksonville have the most account executive openings in Florida right now. Miami leads due to its density of financial services, international trade, and media companies, while Tampa's growing tech corridor and healthcare sector drive strong hiring, and Orlando's hospitality, tourism technology, and healthcare industries round out the top markets.
Are there remote account executive jobs in Florida?
Yes, and more than most fields, since account executive work is fundamentally relationship-driven and can be conducted over phone, video, and digital channels. About 77% of account executive openings tied to Florida are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, reflecting how widely employers have accepted distributed sales teams. Enterprise and SaaS-focused account executive roles tend to have the highest share of fully remote arrangements.
How can I get hired as a account executive in Florida with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is a sales development representative or business development representative role, which large Florida employers like Chewy, Modernizing Medicine, and tech firms based in Tampa and Miami use as structured pipelines into account executive positions. Associate account manager programs and rotational sales programs at Florida-based companies offer structured onboarding for candidates without direct experience. A demonstrated record in customer service, retail, or hospitality, which Florida employers recognize as strong preparation, combined with a CRM certification, helps candidates stand out for entry-level openings.
Where can I find and apply to account executive jobs in Florida?
