Account Executive Jobs in Texas: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become an account executive in Texas?
Most account executive roles in Texas require a bachelor's degree in business, marketing, communications, or a closely related field, though no state-issued license is required for the role itself. The typical path starts in an inside sales, sales development, or customer success role at a Texas-based company, where you build pipeline skills and product knowledge before stepping into a full account executive position carrying your own quota.
Which companies hire account executives in Texas?
Employers hiring account executives in Texas right now include Mantis Innovation, DoorDash, and Goosehead Insurance, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. Texas's concentration of Fortune 500 headquarters, major energy companies, and fast-growing tech firms in Austin and Dallas means the hiring pool is unusually broad across industries.
Which Texas cities have the most account executive jobs?
Austin, Dallas, and Houston are the Texas cities with the most account executive openings right now. Dallas and Houston drive volume through their dense concentrations of enterprise technology, financial services, and energy companies, while Austin's booming SaaS and startup ecosystem has made it one of the fastest-growing sales job markets in the state.
Are there remote account executive jobs in Texas?
Yes, and more than most fields. Account executive work is relationship- and phone-driven, which makes it well-suited to remote arrangements compared to hands-on roles. About 39% of account executive openings tied to Texas are remote or hybrid as of June 2026, with the highest remote concentration in SaaS, cloud software, and healthcare technology segments where deals close over video and phone.
How can I get hired as an account executive in Texas with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry point is a sales development representative or inside sales role at a Texas-based tech, energy services, or healthcare IT company, which are the industries most likely to hire and promote from within. Large Texas employers like Dell, Oracle, and regional staffing and logistics firms run structured new-hire sales training programs designed for people transitioning from adjacent roles such as customer success, account management, or retail sales management. Building fluency with Salesforce and earning a recognized sales certification strengthens any application significantly.
Where can I find and apply to account executive jobs in Texas?
You can find and apply to account executive jobs in Texas on Migrate Mate, which lists current Texas openings from employers actively hiring right now. Search the listings, find the roles that fit your experience and target industry, and apply directly to the ones that match.
