Commercial Account Executive Jobs in Florida: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a commercial account executive in Florida?
Most Florida employers expect a bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field plus some B2B sales or account management experience. For roles in commercial insurance, you must hold an active Florida 2-20 Commercial Lines Agent license issued by the Florida Department of Financial Services, which requires passing a state exam and completing a background check. Outside insurance, a strong sales record, CRM proficiency, and familiarity with the industry you are targeting carry the most weight.
How much do commercial account executives make in Florida?
Commercial account executives in Florida earn a median of about $62,490 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $36,780 for the lowest 10% to over $127,960 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire commercial account executives in Florida?
Employers hiring commercial account executives in Florida right now include Cyera, NFP, and Salesforce, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Florida's concentration of insurance carriers, logistics companies, and technology services firms means steady year-round demand across the state.
Which Florida cities have the most commercial account executive jobs?
Miami, Fort Myers, and Tampa lead Florida for commercial account executive openings. Miami drives volume through its dense concentration of insurance carriers, international trade firms, and financial services companies, while Tampa and Orlando support large technology, healthcare, and logistics employers whose commercial sales teams are headquartered or regionally managed there.
Are there remote commercial account executive jobs in Florida?
Yes, and they are more common than in many sales roles, since commercial account management is largely relationship- and communication-driven work that can be done without a fixed office. About 57% of commercial account executive openings tied to Florida are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, with fully remote positions most often found in technology and software account management rather than in commercial insurance or logistics, where in-person client visits remain expected.
How can I get hired as a commercial account executive in Florida with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is starting as a commercial lines customer service representative or inside sales associate at a Florida insurance agency or regional carrier, then moving up once you have your Florida 2-20 license. Large Florida employers like Brown and Brown Insurance and Brightway Insurance run associate and training programs that onboard candidates without prior sales experience. For technology or logistics roles, moving laterally from customer success, sales development, or account coordinator positions at Florida-based firms gives you the client-facing record hiring managers look for.
Where can I find and apply to commercial account executive jobs in Florida?
You can find and apply to commercial account executive jobs in Florida on Migrate Mate, which lists current openings tied to the state. Search the available roles, find the ones that fit your background and target industry, and apply directly to the employers posting them.
