Enterprise Sales Engineer Jobs in Florida: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a enterprise sales engineer in Florida?
Start with a bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or information technology, then build hands-on experience with the technology stack you plan to sell. Florida does not require a state-issued license for enterprise sales engineers. Most Florida employers expect industry certifications such as AWS, Cisco, or Salesforce credentials, which strengthen your candidacy considerably. Gaining experience in a technical support, solutions architect, or pre-sales role at a Florida technology or healthcare IT company is the most direct path into the field.
How much do enterprise sales engineers make in Florida?
Enterprise sales engineers in Florida earn a median of about $125,530 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $73,210 for the lowest 10% to over $206,760 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire enterprise sales engineers in Florida?
Employers hiring enterprise sales engineers in Florida right now include American Express, TeamViewer, and FIS, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Florida's concentration of technology firms, healthcare organizations, and financial services companies means openings appear consistently across the state throughout the year.
Which Florida cities have the most enterprise sales engineer jobs?
Sunrise, Tampa, and Jacksonville have the most enterprise sales engineer openings in Florida. Miami's strength in fintech, international business, and cybersecurity drives demand there, while Tampa's growing technology corridor and health system presence generate consistent openings, and Orlando's defense, simulation, and hospitality technology sectors keep its market active.
Are there remote enterprise sales engineer jobs in Florida?
Yes, and more than most fields. Enterprise sales engineers work closely with distributed sales teams and enterprise clients across time zones, making the role well suited to remote arrangements. About 100% of enterprise sales engineer openings tied to Florida are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, reflecting how broadly technology employers have embraced flexible work. Pre-sales discovery calls and technical demos are the tasks most commonly performed fully remotely.
How can I get hired as a enterprise sales engineer in Florida with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is moving from a technical support, implementation, or solutions consultant role into a junior pre-sales or associate sales engineer position. Large Florida technology employers and managed service providers regularly bring on associates from adjacent roles. Earning a recognized vendor certification in Salesforce, AWS, or Cisco gives candidates without direct sales engineering experience a concrete edge. Targeting Florida-based SaaS companies and healthcare IT vendors that run structured associate programs is more effective than applying broadly to senior postings.
Where can I find and apply to enterprise sales engineer jobs in Florida?
You can find and apply to enterprise sales engineer jobs in Florida on Migrate Mate, which lists current openings across the state. Search the available roles, identify the ones that match your background and target industry, and apply directly to the positions that fit.
