Job Summary
Supports the maintenance of editorial standards and accuracy/quality of enrollment marketing and communications content. Assists in the creation of content strategy recommendations for enrollment marketing and communications clients based on information obtained through content inventories, current-state analysis, competitive assessments, user testing, email analytics, and higher ed marketing audience expectation reports. Assists in the creation of user-friendly online content for FIU's digital presence and print materials.
- Assists with the development and implementation of email marketing messages and campaigns that increase student applications, enrollment and matriculation.
- Demonstrates responsibility for hearing the voice of the user, takes into account all of the various inputs and transforms it into optimal content, revising and copy-editing material to ensure tone is appropriate, and messaging and style are consistent.
- Assists in setting quality standards and measures content quality against best practices.
- Works and collaborates with content at many levels (information architecture, style guides, templates, analytics).
- Assists with revising campaign messaging according to best practices and weekly analysis recommendations suggested by Sr Account Manager.
- Collects weekly email campaign performance metrics, including open rates, click-through rates, conversion rates, and unsubscribe rates.
- Works closely with designers, business analysts, developers, marketing cloud administrators and communications directors to develop content for existing and proposed content elements.
- Assists with participatory design/user testing sessions and assists with presentation of findings and recommendations to cross-functional teams and senior level clients.
- Interprets educational media/communication administrative rules and policies and recommends new and improved programs and/or technologies to effectively manage educational media/communication administration.
- Maintains contact with departmental leadership and staff as well as within the greater university.
- Manages the communication calendar by updating and maintaining it on an ongoing basis to ensure adherence to schedules and timelines.
- Maintains confidential matters concerning the division. Exercises independent judgement and initiative when handling sensitive information.
- Performs other related duties as required or directed. The omission of specific duties does not preclude the supervisor from assigning duties that are logically related to the position.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Media/Public Relations, Communications or related field and one (1) year of experience.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience and/or knowledge of Photoshop and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Ability to handle multiple projects and awareness of deadlines.
