Commercial Account Executive Jobs in Pennsylvania: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a commercial account executive in Pennsylvania?
Most Pennsylvania commercial account executive roles in insurance require a producer license issued by the Pennsylvania Insurance Department, which involves completing a pre-licensing course, passing a state exam for the relevant lines such as commercial property or casualty, and submitting an application to the department. For non-insurance roles in technology or manufacturing, a bachelor's degree in business or a related field combined with B2B sales experience is the standard hiring path across Pennsylvania employers.
How much do commercial account executives make in Pennsylvania?
Commercial account executives in Pennsylvania earn a median of about $66,130 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $38,980 for the lowest 10% to over $132,420 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire commercial account executives in Pennsylvania?
Employers hiring commercial account executives in Pennsylvania right now include Michelin, HealthVerity, and Cyera, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Pennsylvania's concentration of regional insurance carriers, financial institutions, and large manufacturers means demand for commercial account executives is spread across both major metros and mid-sized industrial markets throughout the state.
Which Pennsylvania cities have the most commercial account executive jobs?
Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, and Wayne have the most commercial account executive openings in Pennsylvania. Philadelphia leads due to its dense concentration of insurance carriers, financial services firms, and regional corporate headquarters, while Pittsburgh's industrial and technology sectors drive demand there, and the Lehigh Valley's logistics and healthcare employers account for a steady share of openings in that corridor.
Are there remote commercial account executive jobs in Pennsylvania?
Yes, and they are fairly common, since much of the role involves phone-based outreach, virtual presentations, and CRM management that translate well to remote work. About 86% of commercial account executive openings tied to Pennsylvania are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, reflecting how broadly the role has shifted toward flexible arrangements. Client prospecting and renewal calls are the functions most frequently performed fully remote.
How can I get hired as a commercial account executive in Pennsylvania with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is through an inside sales or sales development representative role at a Pennsylvania-based insurer or technology firm, where you build pipeline skills before moving into a full account executive seat. Large Pennsylvania employers such as Independence Blue Cross and regional insurance agencies frequently hire associate account managers and train them toward commercial lines. Obtaining a Pennsylvania producer license in property and casualty before applying signals seriousness to insurance employers and can offset limited experience.
Where can I find and apply to commercial account executive jobs in Pennsylvania?
You can find and apply to commercial account executive jobs in Pennsylvania on Migrate Mate, which lists current Pennsylvania openings across industries including insurance, technology, and manufacturing. Find roles that fit your background and apply directly to the employers posting them.
