Sales Operations Specialist Jobs in Pennsylvania: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a sales operations specialist in Pennsylvania?
A bachelor's degree in business, marketing, finance, or a related field is the standard entry point for sales operations specialist roles in Pennsylvania. The role carries no state-issued license or registration requirement. Pennsylvania employers, particularly those in Philadelphia's financial services corridor and Pittsburgh's technology and healthcare sectors, consistently prioritize candidates with hands-on CRM experience, exposure to sales reporting, and demonstrated ability to work across sales and finance teams.
Which companies hire sales operations specialists in Pennsylvania?
Employers hiring sales operations specialists in Pennsylvania right now include ADP, Energy Transfer, and Pitt Ohio, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Pennsylvania's concentration of large financial services firms, integrated health systems, and regional technology companies makes it one of the more active states for this role in the Northeast.
Which Pennsylvania cities have the most sales operations specialist jobs?
Erie, Aston, and Emmaus have the most sales operations specialist openings in Pennsylvania. Philadelphia dominates because of its dense concentration of financial services, insurance, and enterprise technology employers, while Pittsburgh's growing healthcare and software sectors drive demand there, and Allentown's base of regional headquarters and distribution-oriented companies accounts for additional openings in the Lehigh Valley.
Are there remote sales operations specialist jobs in Pennsylvania?
Yes, and more than most fields. Sales operations is an analytical and systems-focused desk role, which makes it well suited to remote and hybrid arrangements. About 67% of sales operations specialist openings tied to Pennsylvania are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, reflecting broader flexibility across the role. Functions like CRM administration, reporting, and forecasting are the most consistently remote, while onboarding support and in-person sales team collaboration tend to require some on-site presence.
How can I get hired as a sales operations specialist in Pennsylvania with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is moving laterally from a sales coordinator, business analyst, or inside sales role within a Pennsylvania employer that already uses Salesforce or a comparable CRM. Large Philadelphia-area employers in financial services and insurance, as well as Pittsburgh-based health systems like UPMC and Highmark, regularly post sales support or operations associate roles that serve as structured entry points. Building a Salesforce Administrator credential and demonstrating Excel or data visualization skills gives candidates a concrete edge when competing for these associate-level positions.
