From there, candidates typically progress through account coordinator, account manager, and senior account manager roles at Pennsylvania agencies, healthcare networks, financial firms, or technology companies before stepping into a director-level position.
How much do account directors make in Pennsylvania?
Account directors in Pennsylvania earn a median of about $64,480 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $37,270 for the lowest 10% to over $133,980 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire account directors in Pennsylvania?
Employers hiring account directors in Pennsylvania right now include Klick Health, Thermo Fisher Scientific, and IQVIA, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Pennsylvania's dense concentration of Fortune 500 headquarters, major health systems, and large regional agencies means account director demand is distributed across both Philadelphia's corporate corridor and Pittsburgh's growing tech and healthcare sectors.
Which Pennsylvania cities have the most account director jobs?
Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, and Pennsylvania have the most account director openings in Pennsylvania. Philadelphia's concentration of corporate headquarters, financial institutions, and large advertising and communications agencies drives the largest share of listings, while Pittsburgh's expanding healthcare, technology, and financial services sectors support consistent demand, and suburban markets such as King of Prussia attract openings tied to Fortune 500 regional offices.

Large Pennsylvania employers such as health systems and regional financial institutions often post associate account roles that do not require prior director experience.
