At Mosaic, we're looking for a strategic and client-focused marketing leader who thrives on turning ideas into impactful retail and consumer marketing programs. As a Client Services Account Director, you will serve as a trusted advisor to leading brands, building strong client relationships, identifying growth opportunities, and overseeing the development and execution of innovative shopper marketing, promotional, and experiential campaigns. You'll collaborate with clients, retailers, creative teams, and agency partners to deliver solutions that drive engagement, strengthen brand presence, and generate measurable business results.
The ideal candidate is a seasoned professional with deep experience in retail, shopper marketing, or consumer packaged goods. Combining strategic thinking, analytical expertise, and strong leadership skills, you will guide cross-functional teams, manage multiple priorities, and leverage consumer insights and performance data to influence decision-making.
Essential Functions of this Position:
- Act as a strategic partner to new and existing clients by identifying growth opportunities, demonstrating Mosaic's capabilities, and helping brands achieve their business objectives through innovative marketing solutions.
- Build and strengthen relationships across client marketing, sales, and corporate teams, serving as a trusted advisor and key point of contact throughout the partnership lifecycle.
- Lead discovery efforts and market research initiatives to uncover client needs, gather insights, and develop recommendations that drive impactful consumer and shopper marketing programs.
- Collaborate with clients to define project goals, scope, and expectations while clearly communicating timelines, budgets, and associated costs.
- Ensure all programs and promotional initiatives adhere to applicable legal, regulatory, and compliance requirements through close partnership with legal counsel and key stakeholders.
- Contribute strategic thinking and creative ideas during brainstorming sessions, helping develop innovative solutions that align with client objectives and deliver measurable results.
- Establish project plans, define responsibilities, and maintain clear project status updates to ensure seamless execution.
- Oversee the development, design, and production of promotional materials, ensuring quality, consistency, and alignment with client expectations.
- Monitor campaign execution from start to finish, ensuring all program elements are delivered accurately, on time, and with excellence at every level.
- Manage and coordinate external partners and vendors, including creative agencies, printers, sampling companies, and promotional suppliers, to ensure successful program delivery.
- Lead project recap discussions and communicate campaign results, key learnings, and recommendations to both clients and internal teams.
- Recommend and execute effective media, retail, and shopper marketing strategies that maximize engagement, strengthen brand presence, and drive business performance.
Minimum Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in advertising, marketing, or related field.
Experience Requirement:
- Eight years agency experience in Shopper Marketing / retail and/ or consumer packaged goods preferred.
- Proven experience in client service, business development and overall program management experience (concept, implementation, and execution with excellence)
- Experience with the following retailers a plus: Target, Albertsons, Costco
Knowledge, Skill and Ability Requirements:
- Self-motivated; self starter; strong leadership and management ability.
- Strong presentation skills, speaking ability and interpersonal skills.
- Thorough understanding of core advertising and marketing functions: shopper strategy, creative development, activation planning, brand management, vendor management, post promotional analysis, financial ramifications.
- Broker, Manufacturer, Retailer, and Marketing Agency understanding of roles and functions.
- Be able to prioritize multiple demands (retailer, manufacturer, Acosta) simultaneously and influence associates for results.
- Proven analytical ability with strong attention to detail.
- Assertive, creative, team player and proven sense of urgency.
- Proficiency with computers including in-depth knowledge of Microsoft suite of products, especially.
- PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and a working knowledge of Adobe Acrobat, scanning, Photo Shop, etc.
- Prefer having experience working with the platform, Salesforce.
